I would like
to free you tomorrow
to see you transcend
like a butterfly over Autumn trees
the confines of the heavy days.

You, so far away,
even though by now so near.
Hear calling from beyond the void
to begin a flight on gossamer wings
to deepen the soul,
in song and dream
to harmonize with distant destiny.

Rhapsody.

I would like
to free your heart
to sail on delicate strength
to find a way to parry
turbulent swirls and swaying perches
of grayest windy days.
And stay behind
to watch this butterfly soar.

Because to soar,
to flow with freedom,
to carry on beyond today
a beacon of light
flashing from shiny wings
to show lost mariners a way.
