My great grandfather purchased the farm ground located Northwest of Decatur, Illinois in the 1800's. The farm was named "Prairie Rose Farm" because of the native prairie rose bushes located on the land. I decided to continue the Prairie Rose Farm tradition in naming the Woodworking and Lawn Service businesses. At left is an old picture of the farm with the old dairy barn, (now replaced by the newer shop.) The original farm had many outbuildings including a horse barn, dairy barn, smokehouse, milk house, chicken house, plus peach and apple orchids and bee keeping.
