Fifty years have passed on by
they've quickly come and gone
Since we pledged to each other
our lives to be as one
It wasn't always easy
there's been some ups and downs
But the most important thing of all
love still abounds.
We have love...precious love!
The many joys of parenthood
are special to the heart
But you know it isn't easy
right from the very start
Patience and persistence
is what it takes we knew
But acquiring such virtues
takes time and effort too!
It takes love...lots of love!
Along with days of sunshine
we knew there'd be some rain
There must be lots of nurturing
for love to remain
It takes a conscious effort
neither can ignore
But unity and happiness are
both worth striving for!
We need love...pure sweet love!
There are many surprises in life;
unexpected twists and turns
Love will only survive them
as the lessons of life are learned
The joy of life is in giving...
that's the only thing that counts
Seeking the other's happiness is
what love is all about!
This is love...real true love!
God said to the man..
it's not good to be alone.
He created woman from the man
and sanctioned them as one.
With God in the center
there's power to shun the wrong
His abiding presence is what
makes our marriage strong!
He is love...perfect love!
We can have love...
His perfect love!
