Chapter Meetings

Prairie Hearts meets on the second Saturday of each month (except January, August, and December), from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Urbana Free Library in Urbana, Illinois.

What do our meetings offer?

Discussions: We cover a wide variety of topics ranging from the latest industry news to our own individual struggles as writers.

Support: Our meetings offer an environment unique from your average writers' group--after all, we're all romance writers here! Our members understand the ins and outs of writing a romance novel and offer support and encouragement to our fellow authors.

Critiques: Members are encouraged to share their work with the group, and we offer constructive critiques on the strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript.

Non-RWA members are invited to join us for up to two meetings before being asked to join RWA and Prairie Hearts. Our Writer's Retreat and Christmas Luncheon (dates to be decided) are open only to members of the Prairie Hearts.
