Many thanks to those who were brave enough to come out in the storm for our Christmas luncheon.

• Congratulations to the winners of our Just Desserts contest! First place went to HiDee Ekstrom, and second place to Nancy Purdy. All entries will be discussed at our January meeting.
• The 2007 President's Service Pin was awarded to HiDee for her substantial and long-term contributions to Prairie Hearts. In addition to being our founder, HiDee does a wonderful job producing our newsletter, Romancing the Prairie, and is always willing to take down the minutes when Nancy can't be there. She is also working on updating the bylaws. Thank you, HiDee!
• The A for Effort Award went to two members who tied in the vote: Robyn Bielawski and Lynn Dick. Great job to you both!
• The Inspiration Award was given to our president Lynn Crandall, who later stated, "Thanks for your votes and acknowledgment. I'm thrilled you feel I inspire you in some way. I am inspired by all of you."
