| name // Cassandra Brigitte Lunaris Devereux date of birth // May 14, 1980 age // 21 gender // female bloodline // halfblood; magical blood originating from father (Lunaris family) strengths // beauty, courage, stature, a particular skill at swordsmanship, a flare for language and a knack at persuasion weaknesses // no magical training to speak of, arrogance, sensitivity towards certain critisisms, extremely tempermental species // witch, but raised as a muggle dwelling // until very recently, a small cottage in lower Surrey; now, Lunaris Manor journal // (link to come) physical characteristics // Five feet seven inches tall and quite petit around the waist, she takes after her mother in the area of body structure. Her face is pale, almost to the point of sicky at times, but flawless, and golden locks fall around it, like a halo around a face with an expression that rarely resembles angelicy. Her eyes are a dark brown and her lips not too thin, often seen slightly curled into a smile with obviously no meaning behind it. weaponry // a wand, though it is not much use to her due to her current lack of magical ability, as well as a sword, mostly used for decoration and practice and of little use whatsoever in the wizarding world unique abilities // her beauty and language skills, and probably some unconscious magic, make her a very commanding force towards people when she wants them to; thus, putting them into somewhat of a trance, she is nearly always able to have her way usual attire // Expensive dresses and skirts are most commonly worn by her, along with black heels. When seeking a more casual attire, she will wear jeans, but she prefers to overdress, for the most part, and never removes a pearl bracelet from around her right wrist. She has found, though, that in the wizarding world most people do not take to wearing muggle clothes unless out in public, so she usually wears a silky, silvery-black cloak over whatever attire she feels like wearing on that particular day. cassandra in one word // intrigue personality // Vain as anything, and equally greedy, Cassandra is what most people consider the worst kind of person. She is arrogant as one can be, and she has not met a person yet that she doesn't feel deserves to be treated as less than her. Her morals are often quite shaky and she has never been known to think of anyone before herself. Even familiar ties mean very little to her, as she prefers not to keep anyone too close. It suits her that most people dislike her very much, and those who surround her are only thinking of themselves. She is intelligent, despite her materialistic tendancies. Still, regardless of the invulnerable front she puts up, she can be quite easily hurt. But when she is hurt, she would sooner die then show her true feelings. Her charm, confidence and sophistication has always gotten her exactly what she wanted. ambitions // Cassandra has always had one single goal in her life. Namely, to attain wealth and power. Since it was revealed that she was the heiress of the Lunaris family, and all of their wealth and power belonged to her, this goal had been fulfilled. Now her only goal was to maintain that wealth and increase it, gaining power in the wizarding world as she went along. Although it seems that she has everything she could want, to Cassandra, she has not even scratched the surface of the unlimited potential of her goal. usual mood //irritated; she can almost always find someone or something that bothers her and never hesitates to become greatly upsetted by it, usually taking it out on whoever is around history // Three years before the birth of Cassandra, Patrick Lunaris graduated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and subsequently left the wizarding world, having fulfilled the vow he had made to his family to finish his education as a wizard. The idea was that he would no longer have any interest in the muggle world once he saw all of the oppertunities available for him in the wizarding world, but it was not so. His family disowned him immediately, and his name was not uttered from a Lunaris mouth for over twenty years. Patrick became a muggle banker and established a place for himself in upper middle class muggle society. He was a respected man, who no one would imagine to have ever been anything but perfectly normal. About two years after graduating, Patrick met an actress during a business trip in France. She was as beautiful as he was charasmastic, and they charmed eachother instantly. He brought her back to London and they were married within two weeks. She was enpregnated not long after, and ran off with a painter immediately after Cassandra's birth. This left Patrick, now a stiff, completely normal businessman, to raise the infant on his own. The child, a daughter, grew up as an almost normal muggle girl. She had the charm of her father, and the beauty of her mother, as she was told, and the combination of the two lead to her being easily accepted among her peers. She always brushed off the abnormal things that constantly seemed to happen to her, as her father had instructed her, writing them off as simple coincidences. When she reached the age of eleven, she was sent an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but her father withheld the letter from her, and immediately wrote to Hogwarts declining the invitation. It had always been somewhat of a mystery to the Lunaris family, and the rest of the wizarding world, for that matter, why Patrick had been so insistant on leaving all traces of magic in the past for both himself and his daughter. The abnormalities that occured often were never discussed, although they were very apparant. Cassandra had an uncanny ability of attracting just about every male specimen within a two-mile radius during high school, for which she would have loved to credit her charm, but she knew was a bit unusual. But whatever the reason, Cassandra did not hear a word of real magic until several days after the disappearance of her father, when the entire story came out. She was twenty-one when her father mysteriously vanished. It was concluded that he had died, but no body was ever found. Cassandra had little remorse for her father, as they had always been quite dettached; he had always seemed fairly resentful of Cassandra. Cassandra was looking foward to a good deal of money, although she didn't really need it. She hadn't had any trouble succeeding quickly in the muggle world. But no money came to her. Instead, the only possession Cassandra was given through her father's will was a key. The key was quite unremarkable, and didn't fit into any keyhole she could find. Confused, she had brushed it off, slightly annoyed that he had left her with nothing but scrap metal. Less than two weeks later, she recieved a visit from an old woman, who introduced herself as Cassandra's grandmother, and explained the entire story to a very skeptical Cassandra. She identified the key as the key to the Lunaris gringotts vault, containing all of the family gold, and identified Cassandra as the heiress of the Lunaris family. Cassandra was to move to Lunaris Manor, and, well.. you'll learn the story from there. |
