| My pet name is Subodh. But, I have more than 10 nicknames. Each nickname has a different origin and a different unique reason. Probably, they mean different things also. I am not going to tell you the origin and meaning of my different nicknames, but to name a few are Bhoya, Malah, Bahadur, Polu, PKR, Prabhu and Bihari. | ||||||||||||
| Nevertheless, so far I have pleasant jorney in my life. During each phase I had different nicknames and different standings. My earlier education was at home only in the company and guidance of my grandfather and father. I had also visited a primary school (named Janardhan Pandey Madhya Vidyalaya, Malahi Tola), which is non-existant now. I did my schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Vrindavan, West Champaran, Bihar-845450, India. After passing grade XII from this school, I decided to pursue a career in engineering. |

| The obvious choice was IIT. Thanks a lot to the almighty GOD that I got admission in Deapartment of Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay. Today, when I stop to think if I was the person who cracked IIT-JEE, I cannot believe it. More so because I was the only person to clear IIT-JEE in year 1995 from the whole district. I was also the first person from the above school to get admission in any IIT. I spent four years of my precious life in Bombay (I prefer to say this metropolitan city Bombay, rather than Mumbai for reasons best known to my Psychiatrist.). Powai lake, Vihar Lake, Juhu beach, Marine beach, Nariman point (Necklace Point), Gateway of India, Taj hostel and Rhythm house were few fun points to visit quite frequently. I remember three trips while I was in Bombay. The first one was a cycling trip from Gateway of India to Powai, a total of 30 miles. This cycling was conducted on the eve of India's 50th Independence Day (Aug 15, 1997). It was a great Time Pass. The second trip was an Industrial trip to Banglore, Mysore, Oonty and Conoor. It was a real fun trip spanning over 10 days. This summer of 1998 (May first week, to be precise) was full of adventures, quotes-unquotes and partying. The sight seeing (!!) on two consecutive evenings on M.G. Road Banglore, the breakfast table meeting in Oonty (the origin of In-One-All), the running train in Oonty Botanical Garden, Boating in Mysore Lake, Boating in Oonty lake, birds in Mysore Sanctuary, Mysore Palace, Vrindavan Garden, Conoor tea garden and Doddebatta (the highest point in South India) were incredibly good. The only repent that anybody could have from this trip is that it was too short, just 10 days long. The last, but not the least, trip was two nights and one day affair to Alibagh beach on Jan 14, 1999. This trip, though short lived, witnessed largest number of quotes-unquotes than any other occasion in four years of my stay in Bombay. Interestingly enough, the best part of this tour came incidently when the bus that we had rented broke down in front of a closed hotel. |

| Partying cannot be forever. One day it was all over. But I really felt extremely happy on Aug 6, 1999 when I received Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering in presence of my parents in 37th convocation of IIT Bombay. | ||||||||||||
| The thrust of Air India (AI 111) was really forceful in the early morning of Aug 15, 1999) when it blew me to the city of New York. Since then I am here in the financial capital of world. | ||||||||||||
| I stay in Manhattan. I am doing PhD in Chemical Enginnering. My research interest lies in the understanding of Rheology of Liquid Crystalline Polymer Blends. Professor Morton M. Denn is my advisor. I have just started working on my project and I have a long way to go. | ||||||||||||
