[ Review of "Equip and integrate children in the global village" by Mr. NarayanaSwami ]

Still reminds me that all is not dead in this world. Maybe my views is not what you expect but then they are, and definitely will be, affected by my current biased thinking. Children of a global village are an interesting concept, but realists would have none of this. The world as we know it today is basically the creation of the devil. I don't know what the world that god envisaged was, but the devil certainly rules. That devil, sweet and invisible is the developed majority, say [xxxxxxx] and whatever it represents. Given human nature, we always prefer to eat the apple and savor how sweet it is, and ignore the bitterness of reality. Half, no, probably much more, of the children today don't know what these things mean. The ones who will, may, form a small 20% of those who can experience this 'global village'. These are the brash, boorish, pretending, [xxxxxxxx] kids and the bird-brained spoilt brats, among the [xxxxxx] kids, that are unfortunately given always the carrot and never the stick by their doting parents. This is the typical [xxxxxx] kid I see today, generally. I shudder to think of what will happen when I have kids, how will they turn out to be. The reality is that the world is a divided place, and sometimes I believe heaven and hell exist on earth itself. All over the world, men are said to be equal, but what is to be said of kids that are born unequal?

Since you speak of borrowing the world from them, I would prefer not to introduce my child to the grim reality that is there. Maybe some portion of my life needs to be spent in helping people, but that much of a sacrifice is not possible as there are people who depend upon me. Some people are born unequal and the challenges they face are too much to be overcome. We cannot change our perspective -- that is next to impossible. It takes a lot to disagree with values you are born with and assimilate when you are a child.

The best way is to let nature take its own course. Let children make their own world. Let me say with conviction that the hardest thing is when your own child puts you in the dock for something you did that did not agree with the values he passionately believes in, and turns his back on you. All parents, especially would be ones like people of our generation, will most definitely face this.
