Today one of the most successful language learning programs in the world sponsored by the British Council and the Council of Europe is known as CLIL - content and language integrated learning. Students study maths, history etc. through the medium of English in order to learn English. The subject learning enables them to use English and develop their language skills.

If we have active technical learning then we have active language learning and vice versa. What holds our students back in both technical study and language learning is their learning style and we must work to provide methodology to redress this problem.
