Prologue

Jason stares out the window of his room at Jake's. Her smile and laughter kept invading his thoughts. God the way she was laughing with Michael at the park today. They looked so happy. He had wanted to tell her he loved her, and that he wanted her and Michael to leave with him, but after seeing how happy they were, he couldn't do it. He only wanted them to be safe and happy, and Sonny was providing both of those things for them now.

He walked away from the window and sat at the desk, taking out a piece of paper and a pen.

I wrote a letter yesterday
Just trying to explain
Couldn't find the words to say
Cause you are so far away, so far away

I wrote a letter yesterday
It's so hard for me to face
That it had to end this way
But my love will never change, will never change

When I search my soul to find the truth
About the love we shared
I wonder why you're no longer here

J: God Carly how do I begin.

He picked up the pen and started writing. All the truths, and all the emotions he had been keeping bottled up inside all these years came pouring out. When he finished he wiped the tears from his eyes and folded the letter and addressed it to Carly.

You can just walk away
But I don't feel the same
My heart still beats for you, breaks for you, sinks for you
And those feelings will never fade
I can't hide my pain
I can never hide the way I feel for you

He stood and grabbed his bag and took one last look around the room, THEIR ROOM. God the memories in this room, he and Carly had been through so much together and had done so many things together in this room. He smiles thinking of the sleepless nights they had spent in here, and the dreams they had shared together in this room. Now it was all a thing of the past, he knew he had to move on without her, without his family. He turned the lights out and walked out the door, leaving behind all the memories of his life with Carly.

J: I'll never stop loving you Carly.

With that said he headed over to say goodbye to Sonny.

I've been talking in my sleep
About the way it used to be
Girl I pray that you hear me
Then I'll see you in my dreams
Oh, in my dreams

Well I can't forget the words you said
To pull away from my life
And no matter what I'll carry you inside

You can just walk away
But I don't feel the same
My heart still beats for you, breaks for you, sinks for you
And those feelings will never fade
I can't hide my pain
I can never hide the way I feel for you

Harbor View Towers:

J: Hey Johnny who's home?

Johnny: Just Sonny, Carly and Michael are visiting Bobbie.

Jason enters the penthouse.

S: Hey man, glad you stopped by I was just making dinner, you want to join us? Carly and Michael will be back soon.

J: No, actually I am here to say goodbye.

S: What's going on?

J: I need to get away man, I got to leave Port Charles.

S: Is there anything you need or that I can do for you?

J: Just take care of Carly and Michael, make them happy.

S: Will do.

J: Sonny can you give this to Carly for me.

He hands Sonny the letter he wrote Carly.

S: Sure thing man. Take care and stay in touch.

J: Thanks Sonny.

Jason hops onto his bike and leaves Port Charles behind. Little did he know that his trusted friend would never give Carly that letter, and she would never know that Jason loved her and wanted her and Michael to be with him.

Sooner or later your gonna realize
That this type of love happens once in your life
So open your eyes girl
And see what we could be

You can just walk away
But I don't feel the same
My heart still beats for you, breaks for you, sinks for you
And those feelings will never fade
I can't hide my pain
I can never hide the way I feel for you

You can just walk away
But I don't feel the same
My heart still beats for you, breaks for you, sinks for you
And those feelings will never fade
I can't hide my pain
I can never hide the way I feel for you
