The flight back to Port Charles had been a quiet one. Carly concentrated on sending Lucky peaceful and protective vibes while Jason had watched her with concern. Once the plane arrived the two departed the private plane hand in hand. Francis was waiting for them with the limo.
J: Hey Francis
F: Good to have you back Jason. We really need you now.
J: Thanks we will talk business later. First we need to get over to the PCPD.
F: No problem sir.
Carly stopped and touched the side of Francis' face before entering the limo. "It's good to see you again Francis."
Francis smiled as he immediately turned red "Glad your back Ms. Spencer." Carly gave him a look and he quickly corrected himself. "I mean Carly." She smiled widely at him "Thank You Francis." then slid into the limo.
Jason just shook his head as he remembered how much all the men liked Carly. As he took a seat next to her he smiled at her.
C: What?
J: I see you haven't lost your touch.
She smiled "I don't know what your talking about Jason."
He laughed "Okay baby." He took her hand in his giving it a reassuring squeeze.
J: Everything is going to be okay.
C: Yeah I am sure it is. I just need to see Lucky.
J: Well we will be there soon.
******************************************PCPD:
Jason and Carly walked into the police department and they immediately heard Luke ranting and yelling.
L: Look here chuckles I want my son released NOW!
Carly walked up behind him. C: You know that yelling isn't gonna help matters.
Luke spun around and pulled her into a hug. "Its about damn time Caroline."
C: We came over right from the airport. Now what's going on?
L: (ignoring Jason) Well I haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone in here. (he yelled)
C: Hasn't Alexis gotten him out yet?
L: She and Emily are in with the DA now.
C: Okay look out. (she pushes past Luke and heads over to talk with Mac Scorpio who had just entered the room)
As sweetly as possible with a big smile on her face Carly managed to sweet talk Mac into letting her see Lucky. Before she entered the holding cell where Lucky was she looked over her shoulder giving Luke and Jason a look of triumph.
J: How'd she do that?
L: That's my niece she can charm the pants off of any man. So Morgan I see your back.
J: Yes Luke I am.
L: You going to break my girl's heart again?
J: NO!
L: Make sure you don't.
***********************************************Carly followed the officer down the hallway of cells till they stopped at Lucky's. He was sitting on the bed with his head down. He immediately looked up as he felt her standing there.
C: So what the hell did you do now? (she tried to joke with him)
Lucky smiled and got up walking over to her. L: I'm glad you're here Caro.
C: So? You okay?
L: A little freaked but now I'm better. I had a little mishap.
C: Well obviously.
L: Dad needed some help with locating the ice princess.
C: Oh no not this shit again.
L: You know how he gets. Well anyways I know I should have waited for you to get back but I figured you would be busy with Jason and all so I tried to break into the City Clerks Office last night.
C: Hello! You did what? Lucky you know that you SUCK at breaking and entering. That's my specialty remember? God Lucky! So is that all they got on you?
L: Well it seems that it being a City Office the charges are a bit more serious.
C: All right, I have had enough of this shit. I'll bail you out for god's sake. Alexis and Emily are in with the DA right now.
L: Emily?
C: Yeah apparently she is a lawyer now. She I guess joined Alexis as her partner.
L: Wow I haven't seen her in years.
C: Well, well that's right. Emily and you were best friends now weren't you? (she gave him a sly smile).
L: Yes we were just FRIENDS.
C: Yeah, yeah whatever Luck.
L: So go see if you can spring me already. I gotta get out of this cell.
C: Okay hang on a bit longer I promise I'll get you out.
Carly returned to where Luke and Jason were waiting.
L: So how is he?
C: He's fine. You on the other hand -
L: What did I do?
C: You got him into this mess in the first place. He was arrested trying to break into the City Clerks Office for you and this goose chase your on for that rock.
L: He tried breaking in?
C: Hello- YES that's what I said isn't it.
L: Well he SUCKS at that. You're the expert.
C: No shit, that's what I told him.
J: Wait a minute here. Carly you're an expert? You mean you do this regularly?
L: Calm down boy wonder. Caroline is a Spencer and she doesn't answer to you.
C: Okay knock it off you two. We need to get Lucky out remember? Jase, we will talk later.
Carly turned to see Alexis and Emily approaching them while Luke turned and gave Jason a smug smile.
Carly quickly snapped at Luke "I saw that".
L: Oh come on Caroline, your no fun.
Once Emily spotted Jason she lunged herself into his arms. "JASON!" Jason hugged her tightly. It had been years since he had seen his little sister, who was now all grown up.
J: Hey Em.
E: My god what are you doing here?
J: I'm with Carly. We are together finally.
E: Where you always should have been if you ask me.
J: I know. It just took us a while to figure things out. You are so grown up. You're a lawyer now?
E: Yeah just graduated and passed the bar exam last week.
J: Wow. You've done well for yourself Em. I'm proud of you.
E: Thanks Jason.
L: Okay as touching as this little family reunion is - have you gotten Lucky out?
A: As soon as someone posts his bail he is free to go. He will need to appear to face charges once a hearing is set. We can discuss that later once he is released.
L: Okay good thanks Natasha. So how much is bail?
A: One hundred thousand dollars.
L: Christ!
J: I will cover his bail its no problem.
L: Caroline don't you have that money?
C: Yeah I do but it will take me a day or so to get it. You know I have most of my money put aside for Michael.
J: Luke, really it's not a problem.
L: Well I guess we have no choice.
Jason laughs "Your Welcome."
L: I hope you don't think that this gives you a free ride where my niece is concerned.
C: LUKE!
L: All right all right. Thanks Morgan.
J: So Em you are going to be staying in town then?
E: Yes I will call you later. I have to go back with Alexis and get started on things. Where can I reach you?
C: Just call my place Emily. You know Michael would love to see you.
E: Oh he must be getting so big.
C: He is wait till you see him. He's not the same little boy anymore.
E: I will call you guys later then.
Emily goes and gives Jason another hug before she leaves. Then Jason goes to the bail officer to take care of Lucky's bail. As soon as Jason was out of hearing range she wiped around and grabbed Luke's arm.
C: Listen here Uncle - you be nice. I love him and we are together. So suck it up and live with it.
L: Oww! Geezsh Caroline you don't have to be so rough, I'm not one of your skips ya know.
C: Just be nice okay?
L: I will try, but if that boy hurts you again.
C: Trust me if he does he will deal with all of the SPENCERS this time okay?
L: Okay I will be on my best behavior.
Jason finished up and returned to Carly. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her head. "All set. They are going to bring him out shortly." Carly turned around in his arms and gave him a sweet little kiss on the lips. "Thank you Jase."
L: Good lord please we are in public you know.
Carly shot him a "watch out look". In which Luke threw his hands up in surrender and shut up. Jason lowered his head to her ear and whispered "I see you have finally trained him." She just laughed.
Lucky was led out by an officer and Carly ran right over to him giving him a big hug. Lucky hugged her back tightly.
C: Everything is okay now Luck.
L: Thanks Caro.
When they split apart Lucky went over and hugged Luke. Then Luke pushed away from him and smacked him upside the back of the head.
L: What the hell were you thinking Cowboy? Trying to break in without Carly? You know that's her specialty.
Lucky: I know! God can we give this a rest already? Seeing Jason next to Carly he nodded at him. "Jason."
J: Lucky.
Carly rolled her eyes at the way they acknowledged each other.
C: Luck, Jason posted bail for you. I think you owe him a thank you.
L: Lucky walked over to Jason getting right up in his face, staring at him for a moment. "You take care of her this time."
J: I intend to. I love her.
With that Lucky softened stepping back a little. He extended his hand to Jason -"Thanks for the bail out man."
J: Anytime Lucky.
Luke: Alright enough of this come on cowboy I'll drop you off at home.
C: He can ride with us. We are going home also.
L: Nah, cowboy and I need to talk.
C: Don't go getting him into anything else you hear me. Lucky I will talk to you later.
Luck: Thanks cous. See you later.
As Luke and Lucky left Carly turned to Jase.
C: You ready to go home?
J: We going to see Michael?
C: Well actually he is in school right now, which if I go and get him out he will kill me. He loves school and today is gym day so I never interfere with gym day.
J: Okay so am I going to get a grand tour of your place?
C: Our place now. If you like it.
J: I'm sure I will. Anywhere you are I want to be.
C: Good answer buddy. Come on let's get out of here.
*********************************L: Listen cowboy I want you to keep a close eye on your cousin.
Lucky: She loves him.
L: I know that but we need to make sure he doesn't hurt her again. Did you forget what she went through the last time he left? She was devastated.
Lucky: I remember. I will keep my eye on her.
L: Good cowboy. You get some rest today but then tomorrow I want to talk to you and Caroline. We need to come up with a way of locating the ice princess.
Lucky: Fine whatever. I will talk to you tomorrow.
