Carly remained sitting still within her protective circle, trying to regain her breathing to normal. She opens her eyes as the energy is surging through her. It had worked. She was able to see and feel Jason. His pain was immense and she knew she had to find him soon. There was one more thing she needed to do. She placed Jason's picture on the floor in front of her and sprinkled it with lavender and a few rose petals. She took a candle and lit it from one of the other candles, letting a few drops of wax drop onto the picture.
She then began to speak: In this night and in this hour I call upon the Ancient Power O Goddess Venus I ask thee now to bring your light to help keep my true love safe until our reunion one day or night.
As she completes her request a breeze enters the room extinguishing the candle she is holding. She smiles as she acknowledges the sign of completeness.
C: In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any curse. As I will, so mote it be.
She stands and walks counterclockwise around her circle and says: This circle is open, but never broken. She snuffs out the candles and exits her circle, carefully putting away her candles and instruments making her way to her window looking out at the city below, her thoughts focused on Jason. A knock on her door startles her out of her thoughts. She opens the door to find Lucky on the other side.
L: Hey cous, I thought I would stop by and check on you.
C: Come on in.
Lucky enters the room seeing the circle of rose petals on the floor. He looks closely at Carly noticing a spark back in her eyes.
L: Oh no, don't tell me you've started back into that hocus pocus stuff again. Ya know it freaks me out.
C: Lucky, I am finally feeling better and this hocus pocus as you called it is helping me. So please don't start with me. I need your support now not your criticism.
Lucky moves towards her and pulls her into a hug. I'm sorry Carly. You always have my support.
C: I felt him Lucky. I was able to connect with him and I felt what he was feeling. He is so alone and in such pain. I need this to be over quickly.
L: Well, we will talk to the realtor on our way back from Canada.
C: I can't wait that long and I have a faster way of finding him but I will need your help.
L: Okay, what do you need me to do?
C: I need your computer skills.
L: Okay, we doing this now?
C: Yeah, my computer is in the bedroom, grab it and meet me in the living room.
Carly heads into the living room grabbing a map of the US from her desk, as well as her picture of Jason that she used earlier and spreads the map out on her coffee table. Lucky comes out with the computer and sets up next to her on the table.
L: Do I want to know what you are doing?
C: Oh please its nothing. It's called dowsing.
L: What?
C: Dowsing. Just forget it all you need to know is that its gonna help me locate Jason.
L: Okay this I gotta see.
Carly takes off her charm that Madame Raven had given her and places the picture of Jason on the map. She then holds the pendent above the map moving it over the map back and fourth.
L: This is gonna find Jason?
C: Lucky please I (before she can finish) the pendent drops out of her hand forcefully landed on the state of Texas.
Carly looks up at Lucky with a huge smile on her face. C: He is in Texas.
L: Holy shit.
C: Okay, start checking Texas. He's there Lucky.
Lucky and Carly spend the next several hours searching thru records upon records. They are both exhausted and ready to give up for the night when Carly remembers something.
C: Check for the listings of motorcycle shops throughout Texas
L: Okay.
He furiously enters information into the computer and pulls up a list of 200 bike shops.
L: We got 200 hits.
C: Okay lets narrow it down to owners named Jason.
L: 7 Hits. But no Jason Morgan
C: Okay how about those opened up three years ago.
L: 15 hits.
C: Okay lets take a look at those names.
Lucky turns the computer over to Carly who started to scroll down the names. She looked over them not noticing anything familiar.
C: I don't recognize any. Okay can you read them to me?
L: Sure, Lucky starts reading down the list. Steve Sanders, John O'Grady, Billy Knight, Joseph Water, Jake Benson, Alex Bently, Jamie O'Neal
C: Wait, back up read the last ones again.
L: Alex Bently, Jamie O'Neal
C: No before that.
L: Jake Benson.
C: What is the name of the shop?
L: Ah lets see it's the Power of Three Bike Shop in Stillwater Texas
C: That's it. Jake Benson. Carly starts to laugh
L: Lucky thinks for moment then it dawns on him as well. Jason had taken the name of Jake Benson.
C: He chose the name Jake that's where we met Lucky, at Jakes, and Benson that was one of the last names I have used in the past.
L: Are you sure that's him though?
C: Oh yeah, The Power of Three. He used to say that me, him, and Michael were the power of three and that as long as we were a family nothing could touch us.
L: Wow I can't believe you did it. If I hadn't of seen it with my own eyes I never would have believed it.
C: Now I just got to get there and convince him I love him. He's hurt, and that means his guard will be up. It's not going to be easy to get him to open up to me.
L: I have every confidence in you cousin. He won't know what hit him.
C: Okay so when is our flight for Canada?
L: We leave at 9:00 AM.
C: Okay pick me up at the brownstone. Michael spent the night there and I want to see him before I go and hopefully I will be able to bring his daddy home with me.
L: Sounds good, so I can cancel our stop in Massachusetts?
C: Yeah but book me a connection to Stillwater Texas.
L: Okay cous. I am outta here.
They stand and Carly walks Lucky to the door. She gives him a big hug.
C: Thank you Lucky. I am blessed I have you in my life.
L: You will always have me cous. Now get some sleep, you want to look your best when you see Jason.
C: Yeah, yeah I will, goodnight Lucky.
Lucky leaves and Carly crawls into bed and falls asleep thinking about seeing Jason again.
The Brownstone:
Next Morning:
Carly enters the brownstone and heads into the kitchen. Bobbie is having breakfast.
C: Morning Mama.
B: Well you seem awfully chipper this morning.
C: I found him mama. He's in Texas and I am gonna go bring him home.
B: Wow you seem confident.
C: I am and nothing you say is going to change anything so you might as well save your breath.
B: Okay Carly, I just hope you know what you are doing.
C: I do.
Lucky comes in the back door breaking the tension. L: Morning Aunt Bobbie, cous! Hey, where's Michael?
C: He's upstairs getting ready for school. Which reminds me, I better go talk to him about Jason. I'll be right back.
Carly heads upstairs to find Michael putting his stuff together.
C: Hey Mr. Man! At that Michael gives her a glare that reminds her of Jason. Sorry, hey Michael!
M: Hey mom, what's up?
C: Lucky and I are going out of town this morning, but I won't be coming back for a couple of days.
M: Why, what's going on?
C: Well, after our business trip I'm going to Texas for a few days, and hopefully when I get back, I'll have a big surprise for you.
M: A surprise from Texas? What can you possibly get me from Texas?
C: (laughing) Well, hopefully I'll be able to bring your dad back. I found him Michael, and he's in Texas.
M: Wow, he's in Texas? Do you think he'll want to come back home and be with us?
C: I'm sure he will Michael.
M: Good, because I really miss him mom!
C: I know you do and I miss him too. And you know what, I bet he's missing you just as much.
M: So, what are you doing still sitting here, go and bring my dad back (he laughs)
C: Alright, alright, lets go back downstairs and get you off to school so Lucky and I could get going.
Before they head out of the room. Carly turns to Michael, gives him a hug and tells him; Michael, no matter what happens, just know that your dad loves you very much and I'm going to try my hardest to bring him back to us.
M: (hugging her back) I know mom!
Carly and Michael head back downstairs to find Bobbie and Lucky.
L: You ready, we got to go.
C: Yup. She gives Michael another big hug and kisses him goodbye. You be a good boy for grandma, and I will see you both in a few
B: Carly be careful and call me.
C: I will mama don't worry.
She and Lucky leave and head to Canada to pick up their latest skip. It doesn't take them long to find Rico Torres in a small bar in Canada. He puts up a bit of a struggle but Carly and Lucky bring him in and deliver him to Mr. Barnes their client and collect their payment. They headed to the airport where Carly catches a flight to Texas while Lucky returned home to Port Charles. While at the airport Carly had made arrangements to have a rental motorcycle waiting for her in Texas, she and Lucky had mapped out directions on how to get to Jason's bike shop. And so she was on her way to get back her true love.
Power of Three Bike Shop:
Jason is busy working on a bike when he hears a bike and rider pull into the open bay.
J: I'll be with you in a minute.
Carly jumps off the bike and lifts the facemask of her helmet. She eyes Jason who is wearing a faded pair of Levi's and a white t-shirt, she notices he still can wear a pair a jeans like no one else. She licks her lips and opens her mouth to speak.
C: I'm looking for Jake Benson
J: Well you found him, what can I do for you?
Jason turns around to see a women standing in front of him in black leather pants and a leather jacket with a little white t-shirt on underneath that exposes her stomach. She still has her helmet on. A sudden flood of chills sweeps through his body.
Carly slowly walks towards him and takes her helmet off and shakes her head letting her long blonde hair fall around her shoulders.
C: Hi Jase!
