General Hospital ~ Jason's Room
Carly opened her eyes immediately focusing on Jason's face. She felt it, she knows she did, he squeezed her hand.
C: Jase? Wake up baby, please. God I need you so much.
He was trying with everything in him to come back to her. He tried to get his voice to work but nothing. His eyelids were so heavy, but he struggled to open them to see her beautiful face.
Finally, he felt them open slightly, the light was blinding at first. He tried to focus�
Carly watched as his eyes started to flutter open.
C: That's it baby; let me see those baby blues.
J: Carly?
She came into focus. She looked like an angel with her golden blonde hair framing her face so beautifully. She was there with him.
C: Yes Jase, its me. I am right here.
He opened his eyes fully and the tears started to fall as he stared at her, not believing she was real at first. Then she touched his face and he felt her warmth surround him. She was real and here with him, finally.
His voice was horse as he struggled to speak.
J: Your really here?
C: I'm here Jason, I wouldn't be anywhere else.
He slowly moved his hand to touch her face, and wipe away her tears. She closed her eyes as his touch warmed her soul. She had missed his touch so much over these past years.
J: Lucky?
C: He's fine Jason. He's right outside - do you want me to get him?
J: No don't go, please don't leave me again.
C: Shhh Jase, its okay, I'm not going anywhere.
C: I should probably get a nurse though.
J: No, not yet. I need to talk to you.
He tries to pull out the oxygen tube from his nose, so he can speak better.
C: Jason you need that, settle down.
He removes the tube. J: I want you to hear me. I need you to know.
C: Jason I know what Sonny did. Bobbie told me, its okay baby, everything is going to be okay.
J: No not that. I love you Carly.
C: I love you too Jason. I was so scared.... I almost lost you tonight. You actually left me for awhile.
J: I know, but I couldn't. I could never leave you. I came back Carly. I came back for YOU.
He struggled with his words, as he labored with his breathing.
J: You are everything to me; I need you to know that. You're my whole heart Carly. I couldn't bear it if I had to live without you again.
C: I'm not going anywhere Jase; you're stuck with me forever.
She leaned down and gently kissed him. As she went to pull away his hand caught her face keeping her in place.
J: I missed you so much Carly...I couldn't breathe without you. I couldn't breathe baby.
She closed her eyes and rested her forehead against his. C: You'll never be without me again Jase. Never again.
She sat back down next to his bed. Just staring at him and marveling at the fact that he was awake and back with her again.
J: You look terrible you know.
C: Well thanks alot. Aren't you supposed to say I look ravishing and that you came back to me so that you could stare at me for the rest of your life?
J: Yeah that too.
She laughed as the tears rolled down her face.
Jason wipes the tears from her face, "Come here" as he reaches out for her.
C: Jase, you've been shot, I don't think.... (but he cuts her off)
J: I don't care, I need my girl.
He pulls her face down to his and kisses her. At first the kiss starts out slow and then turns passionate as it deepens. Suddenly, his heart monitor goes off and the nurse and Lucky rush in to see what's happening.
Amy and Lucky come rushing into the room to find Carly and Jason wrapped up in a deep kiss. Amy rushes over to check the monitors as Carly and Jason pull apart, smiling widely at each other. Amy stares in shock as Lucky tries to control his laughter.
A: Carly what the hell are you doing, your gonna kill him. My god he just came out of surgery, have you no shame?
Carly and Jason turn to glare at Amy.
Lucky finally calmed down and turned to Amy, "Amy, I think things are under control here, why don't you go back outside and do what you do best which is gossip, so go, before the next shift comes" he laughs as he pushes her out the door.
L: So cousin are you trying to give Jason a heart attack now? God the poor guy was just shot (he says with a bit of laughter still in his voice). You really should try to control yourself.
C: Ha ha very funny Lucky!!
L: You okay man? You had us all scared there for awhile.
J: Now that Carly is here I will be fine.
C: Why don't I let you two talk.
Jason grabs her hand, not wanting her to go. J: Stay.
C: I will be right back, I am gonna go call and check on Michael.
J: He's here?
C: He's back at the Brownstone with Leticia. I will be right back.
She gets up and leaves, stopping and hugging Lucky before she exits the room. Lucky pulls up the chair next to Jason's bed.
J: What happened, I want to know everything.
L: (sighs) Sorel, he had three of his men try to take us out. The only one they got was Sonny. He didn't make it man, I'm sorry.
Jason looks at him and shrugs, "Yeah well, another time, I would have actually felt sorry that he was dead, but now I don't give a damn.
Lucky gave him a confused look.
J: He's the reason that Carly took off. He played her and she got scared and left.
Lucky: What, that bastard. I can't believe, you know what it doesn't matter. Carly's here and you're fine. So, what do you want to do about Sorel?
J: He needs to be taken care of Lucky. I can't do much in this bed, but I need for you and the guys to make sure Sorel is no longer a threat. Especially since my family is back.
Lucky nods: So, you want me to give the order to take out Sorel?
J: Yeah Lucky, you've just been promoted. With Sonny gone I need someone that I can trust. And you're it. I know you can do it.
L: Thanks man. Sorel will no longer be a threat.
J: Good, and please put someone at the Brownstone and on Carly at all times. I want them well protected.
L: Sure thing Jase, I'll get right on it.
Carly slowly opens to the door and peaks her head in....C: You guys need more time?
J: No were done, get back in here.
Carly enters back in and Lucky gets up, letting Carly sit down next to Jason.
L: I will check in with you tomorrow man. And cous, let the poor guy get some rest will ya.
C: Shut-up (she playfully hits him)
Lucky leaves and Carly turns her attention back to Jason.
J: So how's Michael?
C: He's good, Leticia said he was sound asleep. That kid could sleep anywhere.
J: He must be getting really big. I've missed him, I've missed having my family with me.
C: Well we are back and we are not going anywhere again.
J: Good, cause I'm not letting you go ever again.
C: You really should get some rest Jase, try to close your eyes and sleep.
J: Your staying with me right?
C: Yes of course I am, I'm not going anywhere.
J: Come here, lay with me.
C: Jason I can sleep right in this chair, you have been shot.
J: You can lay with me on my good side Carly, please baby I need to feel you with me.
Carly reluctantly gets up and walks around to the other side of the bed and carefully slides into bed next to him. Jason pulls her down onto his chest so that her head is resting on him.
C: Jase I don't want to hurt you.
J: Your not hurting me....this is the best I have felt in years, I finally have you in my arms again.
C: I love you Jason.
J: I love you forever Carly. Sweet dreams baby.
He kisses the top of her head and closes his eyes content for the first time in years.
Meanwhile�
"Well, well, it looks as though Sonny Corinthos has finally met his maker and Jason Morgan is out of commission", he laughs. I think now is the perfect time to expand my business to the East Coast" he says to himself as he throws down the newspaper.
He goes over to the bar and pours a drink, before he takes a sip he whispers, "Watch out Port Charles, Danny Santos is coming."
