Meanwhile the limo pulls up in front of Deception. Renaldo parks and walks around and opens the door for Carly. She steps out and looks up at the tall building, frozen as her mind starts to race. She was hesitant, she had to face Laura and try to work things out with her. Then suddenly Jason's face popped into her head and she felt a complete sense of calm wash over her. Jason loved her and believed in her and she knew she could do anything.
R: Carly, is everything alright?
C: Absolutely, let's go shall we. They enter the building and get on the elevator up to the offices. Do me a favor Renaldo when we get up there, please keep Elton away from my meeting with Laura. She and I need to talk and I don't want him interrupting.
R: No problem Carly.
She squeezes his arm, "Thank you Renaldo."
The elevator doors open up and Elton quickly jumps up and stands in front of Laura's door.
E: Mrs. Corinthos, what are you doing here so early?
C: Elton, out of my way, I need to talk with Laura.
Elton continues to block the door.
E: Mrs. Spencer is very busy this morning; she is on an important phone call.
C: Renaldo!
Renaldo steps in front of Carly and grabs Elton's arm and moves him out of her way.
C: Thank you Renaldo.
E: Well this is unbelievable; I can't believe you are letting your goon man handle me like this. I won't tolerate such treatment.
R: Have a seat Elton and go back to your work.
E: How dare you. He turns on his heels and heads back over to his desk, while Renaldo stations himself near the elevator.
L: Carly, I am very busy here.
C: Listen Laura, you are going to make time for me. We need to discuss a few things.
L: After the stunt you almost got away with last night, I can't believe you are in here making demands.
C: You liked Gia's layout didn't you?
L: That's not the point here Carly; you set me up last night to look like a fool.
C: But you didn't, if anything you shined in the spotlight. Our company shined! Did you like the layout with Gia?
L: Yes.
C: She is going to make us lots of money and sell lots of our cosmetics; you have to admit she IS THE FACE!
L: Alright, alright. She is terrific. I will admit that.
C: Laura, I am sorry that I tricked you last night, but I felt so strongly about Gia, I needed to get you to realize how perfect she was. I know I went about things the wrong way, but I had only the best intentions. I want our company to succeed!
L: Carly, we need to find someway to stop undercutting each other, if we don't start working together we won't have a company to fight over.
They both laugh, breaking some of the tension in the room.
C: So we try harder.
L: Yeah, we try harder. Now who did you get for Gia's shoot, the pictures really were amazing.
C: I thought you knew.
L: Knew what?
C: Lucky did the photo shoot; actually it was just a practice shoot. He really is an incredible photographer.
L: Wow, I had no idea. We really should see if he will come aboard permanently to do all of Gia's shoots.
C: I think that�s a great idea. Wow, did we just agree on something?
L: she laughs, Yeah we did! Why don't we get started on the new ad campaign? Do you have any ideas?
C: YES!! I've got lots of ideas. Let me go work on getting everything together, and then maybe we could go over them?
L: Sounds good, but can we meet tomorrow. I have to admit I am really tired from last night and I was going to spend the afternoon with Lulu.
C: Okay, tomorrow it is. Enjoy your time with Lulu. Ya know I would love to get Lulu and Michael together sometime to play.
L: That sounds nice.
C: Okay, I'm heading back to my office, have fun this afternoon.
She exits Laura's office and Elton jumps out of his chair, and steps in front of Carly.
E: Mrs. Corinthos, you owe me an apology. I will not tolerate you sticking your guard on me earlier.
C: First off, you need to get out of my face! Secondly, I am no longer Mrs. Corinthos, it is Ms. SPENCER to you. Thirdly, you work for ME, so you better change that tone of yours, and FINALLY, you have no idea what my guards are capable of, so I suggest you back off, unless you want to find out.
With that she storms past him and into her office. She has a huge smile on her face. She felt great, she felt in control again. Things were finally starting to come together. She just hoped Jason was having as much success with Sonny as she had with Laura.
Harbor View Towers:
Jason and Johnny arrive; get on the elevator and head up to Sonny's penthouse. Francis is standing guard outside the door.
J: So were all set with the safe house?
Johnny: Yes.
J: Good, alright now I don't know how things are going to go down so just be prepared to back me up. Stay outside with Francis and fill him in on the plans, we will need Francis' loyalty.
Johnny: Francis will follow you.
They step off the elevator and see Francis by the door.
J: Francis is he in?
F: Yes, but he said he didn't want to be disturbed.
J: Well that's too bad, cause I am going to talk with him and he's gonna listen. Johnny you know what to do.
Jason enters the penthouse and spots Sonny sitting on the couch with a drink in his hand.
S: Well I wondered how long it would take for you to pay me a visit. So tell me Jason how's my whore of a wife doing? Sonny gets up and moves over to the bar to get another drink.
Jason can feel his blood start to boil with every word Sonny spoke.
J: You went to far this time Sonny.
S: Oh so now you are going to tell me how to handle my wife and my marriage.
J: Your marriage is over, it's been over for awhile now, but last night was the last straw. You are done abusing Carly.
S: Jason, I can't believe you are here championing that trash, Carly's no good man, she will use you and leave you behind broken.
Jason has had enough he grabs Sonny by the shirt with both hands and is right in his face.
J: That's ENOUGH! I don't want you to ever speak her name again. Too think I trusted you with my family; I can't believe I have been so stupid to once call you my friend. You are nothing to me!
Sonny breaks away from Jason's grasp.
S: Well it didn't take her long did it Jason; I can see she's already crawled her way back into your bed. How was she? Did the slut give you a little oral action; she's always been really good at that!
Jason pulls his gun from the back of his waistband and points it at Sonny.
J: ENOUGH! This ends now. You bastard, you think that the world revolves around you don't you? The all mighty Sonny Corinthos, big bad mob boss, you think you are such a big man huh Sonny? What, you had to prove your strength by man handling a woman? See your first mistake was taking away the woman I loved and my family, the second mistake you made was abusing her, and your final mistake was underestimating me. Carly and I are going to finally be free of you once and for all.
S: What the hell are you doing?
J: Johnny, Francis get in here.
Johnny: Yes boss (he looks directly at Jason).
S: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?
J: This Sonny is payback, retribution. You took away my life when you took Carly from me, now I am going to take away yours.
Jason motions Johnny and Francis to get Sonny.
J: Take him down to the car and to where we discussed. I will meet you there later on. See you soon Sonny, right now I am going to go see MY WOMAN. Just remember she was mine first, and now she's mine last.
S: Your crazy Jason, she has made you crazy.
J: Actually, she's made me whole again; now get him out of my sight.
Johnny and Francis drag Sonny out of the Penthouse and use the freight elevator to the garage area. They tie him up and gag him and put him in the truck of a beat up car. They are on their way to take him to the safe house Jason instructed them to go to.
Johnny: Looks like Sonny's time is up. I am surprised Jason didn't kill him right in the Penthouse.
F: So Carly and Jason are back together?
Johnny: Finally, it took them long enough to find their way back to each other. I for one am glad. Have you seen the way Sonny had been treating her lately. He went to far and roughed her up last night.
F: I know he has been really off his game lately. I am glad Jason will be assuming the organization, now maybe will get on track again.
Johnny: Not before a lot of bloodshed though, we are gonna have a rough couple of weeks ahead.
F: Let's get him to the safe house.
The two drive away to a house located outside of town in a remote location, and await for Jason's directions.
