Carly wakes up feeling strong arms wrapped around her. She begins to panic, and wonder where she is. She slowly turns to see it is Jason who is holding her so tightly. She lets out a sigh of relief. For a moment she had thought it was all a dream, but seeing Jason's face brought her back to reality. They were here together and they had just spent the majority of the night making love. She gently slid out from under Jason's arms, trying not to wake him. She gets out of bed and grabs Jason's shirt and throws it on. She walks out into the living room and stares out the window.

This night had started out so badly. She looked down at her arms seeing the purple bruises that had formed. Sonny had really scarred her tonight, they always fought but tonight was different. Her mind flashes back to fight.

FLASHBACK:

C: Why are you doing this Sonny, I am your wife! If you can't keep Michael and I safe you need to tell me.

S: That's it Carly, I have told you before to stay out of my business. I won't have you interfering in my life! Leave it alone.

C: Your life? I thought it was our life? Just tell me what is going on, I can help. Jason at least would tell me what was going on, he trusted me.

S: It always comes back to Jason doesn't it? Well little girl I am not Jason. I DON'T trust you. Why would anyone trust you, you are a conniving little liar.

C: I'm a liar? You're the one who has lied over and over to me! Telling me we are safe when all the while Sorel is lurking in the shadows ready to kill me or Michael.

Sonny throws a glass against the door, showering glass everywhere.

C: That's just great! Look what you are doing. You're waco you know that. She turns to leave, soft mumbling, "This wouldn't be happening with Jason."

Sonny becomes enraged when her hears her comment. He tightly grabs her arms and starts shaking her violently.

S: You no good piece of trash, I took you in after your precious Jason left you. You think anyone else would put up with your crap.

He continues to tighten his grip on her. She screams for help. Johnny comes in.

J: Everything all right in here? He sees the panic and pain in Carly's eyes.

S: Get out of here Johnny NOW!

Johnny just stares at him.

S: I said NOW!!

Johnny leaves and Sonny turns back to Carly.

C: You're hurting me, let me go!

He lets go of her arms and walks away from her.

S: Your poison, and worthless. I could never love trash like you and I don't want you in my life anymore. We are through.

C: You bastard! That's it. I'm done. You will never hurt me again.

C: Oh you won't have to worry about that!

She turns and walks out the door.

END OF FLASHBACK

By the now the tears are flowing down her face. She can't help but wonder if what had happened between her and Jason was real. They had been together before and he had changed his mind afterwards, saying it was a mistake. She continues to stare out the window, praying that this time would be different.

Jason suddenly wakes up feeling Carly missing from his arms. He jumps out of bed and throws on a pair of jeans. Where was she? He walks out into the living room and sees her standing in front of the window. He hears her crying, and rushes over to her. He wraps his arms around her from behind.

J: Carly, what's wrong baby. When I woke up and you weren't with me, I was worried.

C: I was just thinking.

J: He turns her around so she is facing him. He takes his finger and wipes the tears from her cheeks. Talk to me.

C: Was it a mistake? Do you think we made a mistake, are you sorry we slept together?

J: Baby, how can you ask me that after everything we have said to each other and the way we made love (over and over again I might add). I LOVE YOU CARLY! You are not getting rid of me that easy!

He takes her hand and leads her over to the couch and pulls her down onto his lap.

J: Hey, look at me. Tell me what is going on in that mind of yours. He lifts her chin with his finger. You know you can tell me anything!

C: I'm scarred Jase. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and I want us to be together more than anything, but what is going to happen when we step outside this hotel room. I mean when we run into Sonny, or Elizabeth or anyone else in this damn town. I'm just scarred!!

J: You love me?

C: Of course!

J: Do want to be with me?

C: YES!

J: Do you have any doubts?

C: I've never doubted my love for you Jason. It has always been you, right from the beginning, when I gave you my heart it was for all time. Without doubt Jason Morgan I have never loved any man like I love you!

J: Okay then, it's that simple! You and Me! No Sonny, No Elizabeth, No Business, the only thing that matters is you, me and Michael.

C: Just the three of us huh? She smiles and gives him a hug. Jason squeezes her tightly.

J: Were gonna make it this time baby. He runs his finger along the side of her face and then traces her lips with his finger before leaning in and slowly brushing his lips against hers. He runs his tongue along the bottom of her lip and she smiles, resting her forehead against his.

C: I can't seem to put into words this moment and what I'm feeling. You came into my life and right from the start you stole my heart. I have never had a better friend or lover. I have always been able to count on you Jase; there is no one who knows me better than you. I give you everything I have, my heart, my body, and my soul.

His eyes fill with tears as he lets the words that Carly said to him hit his heart. He leans in and gives her a passionate kiss.

J: Oh baby, you know that you are my world! It's taken me way to long to finally see all the love I have been missing and without you I have been so lost. You have always been right by my side and accepted me for who I am. I have never been able to open up to anyone other than you, and now for the first time I am looking forward to the future. A future with you, as my partner. I will love you FOREVER! I give you my heart, my body and my soul.

Carly sits up and straddles Jason's lap. She takes his face in both of her hands. By now the tears are running down her face uncontrollably.

C: A future together! There is nothing more I want in this world. She places a tender kiss on his lips, and then begins to nibble on his bottom lip. He opens his mouth and slips his tongue into hers ravishing her. Their kiss continues until they both pull away to catch their breath. He pulls her into a hug, whispering in her ear. The safest place I have ever felt is here with you, baby you are my home. They hold each other for a moment. Then Carly pulls back.

C: Jase, what about Sonny? He's not stable and I don't know what he is going to do. Jason, he's really gone waco.

J: Okay first of all, I will NEVER let Sonny hurt you ever again. I will handle Sonny.

C: That's just it Jase, I don't want you to have to handle Sonny. You are always saving me. I'm so sorry Jase.

J: Hey, stop- you have nothing to be sorry about. We are a team. You depend on me and I depend on you. It is a two way street Carly. When two people love each other there is nothing they wouldn't do for one another. So stop keeping score, cause I'm not.

C: What's next?

J: Well I need to pay Sonny a visit. He had no right to hurt you and he is going to give you a divorce. I also have to think about business. One thing is for sure, I am done with him. He shattered our friendship a long time ago and now its time for Sonny to start paying for everything that he has done to the people I love. Carly, I am going to try get control of the business from Sonny, are you alright with that?

C: Jason, I trust you completely and I will stand by you in whatever you decide to do. You always have been brilliant when it comes to business, and I am confident you will come out on top.

J: Now how about Elizabeth? Do you want me to talk to her; I don't want her to ever bother you or us again. I am just sorry it took me so long to see her true colors, when I think about what she said to you, I just want to let Johnny silence her yapping for good.

C: Oh, I think I can handle Miss Lizzie she and I will definitely be having a chat. You are alright with that?

J: You bet. No one hurts you and gets away with it. So have fun, but if you need me to intervene at all you just let me know, you don't need to take any of her crap. Plus I am sure Johnny would love to step up for you when it comes to Elizabeth.

Carly laughs, and laces her fingers through his.

C: Jase, since we are talking plans here, where are we gonna live?

J: Well do you want to stay here in Port Charles?

C: I haven't really thought about it. I don't know. I mean Deception is here, my mom is here and your family and business.

J: Why don't we just see what develops, then if we decide we want to stay and make our lives here then we will start looking for our own place.

C: Our own place. I like the sounds of that.

J: Me too baby! Now come here. He pulls her into a deep kiss and starts moving his way down her neck. Carly whispers in his ears, "DANCE WITH ME JASE?"

He just smiles and takes her hand pulling her up off the couch with him. He walks over to the radio and turns it on. She smiles and he pulls her into him, letting his arms fall around her waist. She wraps one arm around his neck and begins massaging his bare muscular back with the other one.

J: You know I love the way you look in my shirt. He begins to run his hands up and down her back.

C: Really�cause I love wearing your shirts. Before when we were together. I used to wear your shirts when you weren't with me, it always made me feel safe and as if you were right there with me.

C: Jase, Never leave me again.

J: You don't have to worry baby, we found our way back to each other and I will never let you go again. Let's go back to bed; we both have a lot to deal with tomorrow.

C: Ummm, sounds good.

They walk hand in hand back to the bedroom and climb into bed. Jason wraps his arms around Carly and pulls her into him, so that she is resting her head on his chest.

J: Night baby, I LOVE YOU. He places a kiss on her forehead.

C: I LOVE YOU too Jase.

She snuggles into him and they both drift asleep secure in each other's arms.
