The limo arrives at the Hotel and Jason tells Johnny to go in and get them the best room available. He waits with Carly in his arms, wondering what had happened between her and Sonny. He hated to see her in such pain; he just knew he had to do whatever it took to take away the pain for her.
J: Carly, we are here. Come on I need to get you warmed up. Carly continues to stare blankly at him shaking and still crying. Jason gently turns her to face him. 'Carly, look at me', 'Please, you are safe, just look at me.' Finally she looks up into his eyes. His heart is breaking, as he sees nothing but fear and pain looking back at him.
C: Jason?
J: Yes Carly it's me.
C: Where are we?
J: We are at the Port Charles Hotel.
C: Michael, where's Michael? She is frantically grabbing at Jason.
J: I assume he is home with Leticia.
C: No, you have to get him. He can't stay there with Sonny. (She is now crying hysterically again). Please Jason get Michael, PLEASE!!!
J: Calm, down. I will have Johnny go get Michael and Leticia and bring them here.
She seems to calm down a bit. He takes her in his arms. "Now come on, we need to get you inside where it is warm."
Johnny comes back out to the limo with a room key and tells Jason what room.
J: Johnny, I want you to go to the Penthouse and bring Michael and Leticia back here and get them a room. NOW!
Jason slowly leads Carly out of the limo. She is clinging to him still in a trance like state. They make their way up to their room. They enter and Jason sits Carly down on the couch.
J: Okay, Carly you are safe. I am just going to start the fire.
C: JASE! Please don't leave me.
J: Carly, baby I am right here, I just gonna start the fire to get you warm. I not going anywhere I promise.
Jason starts the fire and moves back to the couch. Carly is curled up in a fetal position with her arms wrapped around her legs tightly. He slowly approaches her and kneels down in front of her. He pushes a wisp of hair away from her face and tucks it behind her ear.
J: Baby, talk to me. I can't help you until you tell me what is wrong? What happened tonight?
C: I didn't mean to kill my baby. I loved him. I loved him. She kept repeating this over and over again.
Jason had never seen her like this. "Carly, I know you loved him, you didn't kill your baby. Don't let what Elizabeth said get to you. She was being terribly mean, and just said those things to hurt you. I know you, and I know that your fall was not your fault. A.J. pushed you. You have to stop blaming yourself."
Just then there was a knock on the door. Johnny came in and said that Michael and Leticia were in the room across the hall, and were safe. He hands Jason a bag of Carly's things.
J: Good, thank you Johnny. I want you to tell me what the hell happened tonight at the penthouse?
Johnny: Jason, they had a terrible fight. I mean they always fight, but tonight was different. I heard a lot of glass breaking and yelling. I couldn't help but overhear, and Sonny said some pretty awful things. He pushed her to the breaking point and she just took it all. I heard her screaming and I went in, Sonny had his hands on her shaking her. He made me leave. I'm sorry man, I don't know much more. I little bit later Carly came out a mess and insisted I take her over to Luke's. She said she and Sonny were through.
J: Where is Sonny now?
Johnny: Francis left with him and I don't know where they went. I am sorry I didn't do a better job protecting her. It's just that Sonny has been really off lately and if I hadn't obeyed him it just would have made him worse.
J: I know Johnny.
Johnny: Is she going to be okay?
J: I hope so. I want you to stay outside Michael and Leticia's door.
Johnny: Yes boss.
Jason turns his attention back to Carly. She is still curled up on the couch shaking.
J: Carly, Michael and Leticia are here they are safe.
C: Carly comes back into this world when she hears Michael's name. "He's Safe?"
J: Yes, they are right across the hall and Johnny is right outside the door. Jason can see her relax a bit. He takes this opportunity to try to get some more information out of her. He sits down beside her and pulls her into his arms. "Baby you need to get out of these wet clothes and into a hot bath." I am going to go run a hot bath for you. Come on." He lifts her up and guides her to the bathroom. He shits her down in a chair and starts her bath for her. Once the tub is filled he starts to help her undress.
J: Carly, come on you need to help me here. You will feel so much better once we get you warmed up.
He unzips her once beautiful red dress. She is standing in front of him in just a black silk bra and panties. He has to control his breathing. Carly needed him to take care of her tonight. Carly suddenly looks up into his eyes and stares deeply into them for what seems likes forever. He wants so desperately to see the light, that spark that she used to have in her those beautiful brown eyes of hers. He wanted to erase all the hurt and pain. Finally she broke their silence.
C: Jase, I'll be okay. I'll finish up here myself. She gives him a slight gentle kiss on his cheek.
He nods, and leaves her to her bath.
J: I will be right out in the living room waiting for you. I'm not going anywhere. She gives him a small sad smile. He closes the door behind him and goes into the living room; he sees a radio and turns it on. He searches for a station until he comes across a song, one that sounded familiar. He sat and listened to the words in front of the fire.
Tears start rolling down his face as he realizes what a mess he has created, not only of his life, but of Michael and Carly's lives as well. "I thought by walking away they would be happy, WHAT HAVE I DONE?"
Carly meanwhile sinks into the hot water of the tub. The water cutting into her cold skin. She sighs deeply thinking back on the events of the night. When would this all end? So much pain, her heart felt like it was broken into a million tiny pieces. She didn't think she could take anymore. Her marriage with Sonny was over. He had almost hit her tonight; she ran her hands over her sore arms and looked down upon the newly formed purplish bruises. She never thought he would ever physically hurt her. But tonight he had snapped. She remembers him grabbing her violently and shaking her. Thankfully Johnny came in when he heard her screaming. If he hadn't, she doesn't know how far Sonny would have gone. He stopped after Johnny had come in. The hurtful words still ringing in her ears. "Your poison Carly, and worthless. I could never love trash like you and I don't want you in my life anymore. We are through." Things had been tough for them from the beginning but deep down she thought he truly loved her. It was the one thing she longed so deeply for, someone to love her. She thought she had that with Jason, until he left her. Now she was alone again, and she could feel herself slipping back into the dark place in her mind that she feared so much. At least Michael was safe. She couldn't trust Sonny around him anymore. If he would hurt her, she wasn't sure what he could do if he lost his temper around Michael. She only knew she would protect Michael at all costs.
Carly finishes up and gets dried up. She finds the bag Jason had left in the bathroom for her. She pulls out a long sleeve satin nightshirt and puts it on. She walks back out into the living room and sees Jason sitting on the couch in front of the fire. She approaches him slowly.
Jason could feel her in the room immediately. No matter where he was he always knew when Carly entered a room. He would get a prickly sensation all over his body. He turned and smiled at her, motioning for her to come sit down next to him.
He stood up and went to touch her arms; she immediately winced and pulled away from him.
J: Carly, what's wrong? Come here.
C: It's nothing Jase, I'm fine.
J: It's not nothing now come here.
She turns back to face him. He slowly pushes up the sleeves of her nightgown revealing her bruises. He closes his eyes as he feels a stabbing pain in his chest at the sight of the bruises.
J: God, Carly did he do this to you?
C: Jase, (tears slowly start rolling down her cheek)
Jason tenderly takes his thumb and brushes her away her tears.
J: I�m so sorry baby, I should have never let him hurt you. Did he hit you?
C: No. Jason, It's not your fault. Sonny has snapped.
J: It is my fault, I trusted him to keep you safe. I trusted him with my heart. Carly, you and Michael are my heart.
C: It's over Jason, we ended our marriage tonight, I am not going back there. I don't feel safe with him, and Michael, God what if he snapped with Michael. I can't even begin to think what might have happened.
J: Don't (he puts his finger to her lips), No one will ever hurt you again.
He gently traces her face with his fingers and slowly leans in and gently places a soft kiss on her lips. He tenderly continues to kiss her moving his hands up into her hair. He whispers, "I love you" against her lips. She pulls back and looks into his eyes. She had longed to hear him say that for so long now. Her heart swelled and she hoped that she wasn't dreaming.
C: Jason, why now?
J: Tonight I realized that no matter how good my intentions were by leaving you behind with Sonny, that I fucked up big time. I have never stopped loving you Carly. I guess it just became all too real to me tonight when I thought about how I could have lost you. If Sonny hadn't stopped when Johnny came in.
C: I love you too Jase, I never stopped loving you. It just hurt so badly when you left. I was never able to fill the void you left in my heart and soul. You took a part of me with you back then.
J: I never meant to cause you so much pain. If I had known back then what I know now, I would have realized that LOVE can conquer all. I just never gave us a chance. I didn't give our LOVE a chance. I will regret that for the rest of my life.
C: We have really messed things up huh?
J: We sure did! I want to make things right again baby, I want US back. Do you think we can give US another try?
C: So much has happened, so much pain and anger. I don't know. I mean my marriage just ended tonight.
Jason pulls her onto his lap as he sits on the couch. She is straddling him. He takes her face in his hands, so gently and tenderly looks deep into her eyes.
J: I want to take away all your pain. Baby I want to make you whole again. Let me heal your heart. Be with me.
He starts passionately kissing her neck and whispering between kisses.
Carly's body responded as his hot breath danced across her skin. She could feel herself becoming wet under his touch. She began biting and sucking on his bottom lip her actions were slow and deliberate. She wasn't going to rush this she wanted it to last forever.
C: Jase I want to come home, show me the way.
He began running his hands over thighs and up under her nightgown, his hands found her bare bottom, realizing she wasn't wearing any underwear excited him and he could feel himself throbbing against the constraints of his jeans. He slipped two of his fingers inside of her warmth. She was so wet and ready for him. He began to move in and out of her. With his other hand he held her face. C: Please what Jason?

C: Were home Jase.
They collapsed against each other, trying to get their breathing under control. Jason moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her, snuggling into her neck.
J: I love you so much Carly. We are finally home.
C: Yes we are.
J: I never felt anything like that before, it was magical.
C: It certainly was. It was never like that before with us, I mean that was so incredible. I felt like we were one person together. It was amazing.
J: I promise from now on it will always be like that. We are magical together baby.
C: Where do we go from here? I mean what are we gonna do about Sonny?
J: Let's worry about that in the morning. Right now I want to take you into the bedroom and put that kings size bed to good use. I want to feel every inch of you again, and again, we have spent too much time apart. NEVER AGAIN BABY!!
They kiss and move their lovemaking into the bedroom. They continue making love several times throughout the night and fall asleep in each other's arms, dreaming of each other and what the future holds for them.
