Carly and Sonny had the huge fight right before the second Deception Party. Carly storms out and Johnny takes her over to Luke's. Jason is also on his way over there to sneak in and watch Liz be named the new face of deception. No one knows Jason is there watching the following unfold.
Carly walks into Luke's soaking wet. She makes her way through the crowd. She walks past Lucky and Elizabeth. Elizabeth mutters: 'Well look what the cat dragged in.' Carly ignores her. She wants to try to make sure Laura hasn't seen the magazine layout of Gia. Laura makes her way up to the podium and announces Gia as the new face. Cameras and press are swarming Gia and Laura. Laura is enjoying the spotlight.
A gasp escapes Elizabeth's mouth as she and Lucky stand in shock. Laura choose Gia. What had happened?
Jason is standing in the back out of sight and is shocked he thought Elizabeth was going to be named. He sees Carly all wet and she looks like she has just been hit by a truck. What had happened he wondered? He stood back and watched.
Carly is crushed! Tonight was supposed to be her big night. First, the fight with Sonny where they had decided to end their farce of a marriage, now this. It was all she could do to keep the tears from flowing from her eyes. She had to get out of here now. She turns and tries to escape, but Elizabeth and Lucky come right toward her verbally attacking her.
L: Well cousin Carly looks like you did it again!
C: Go away Lucky and take your little pixie with you.
E: You bitch! This was supposed to be my job, what have you done?
C: Hello, am I the only one who heard LAURA (she points to Lucky) YOUR MOTHER make the announcement. I am just as shocked as you both are.
E: That's a lie. I guess we can add liar to your list of titles now. Let's see that brings us up to what? Bitch, Town Tramp, Slut, User, Baby Killer how Jason or Sonny could even be anywhere near you is a mystery.
The baby killer comment really hit Carly hard. She felt the pain of loosing her baby come rushing back to her and she felt her knees start to get weak. Her eyes filled with tears as she could barely find her voice.
C: I, I never killed my baby; my fall was an accident, please!
E: Please what? You cost me this job and you will pay for this. How Michael even survives with a whore like you for a mother is beyond me. Someone should take that poor boy away from you.
Jason has heard enough, he saw Elizabeth's true colors tonight as she attacked Carly. He was gonna put a stop to this once and for all.
Jason steps in between Carly and Elizabeth. He can see Carly is lost; she looks like she is in shock. He knows he has to get her out of there.
J: Enough!!
E: Thank god Jason. Can you believe Carly cost me my job as the new face?
Jason turns to Carly and she is just standing in a trance with tears running uncontrollably from her beautiful brown eyes. He takes her and pushes her behind him, keeping his hand on her arm.
J: That is ENOUGH Elizabeth. How could you say such hurtful things, Carly didn't take any job away from you. I saw LAURA make that announcement. YOU and ONLY YOU lost that job for yourself. GIA is obviously much more qualified, and Laura must have finally realized it.
E: But Jason, Carly attacked me.
J: Who's the liar now Elizabeth. I saw everything! What I ever thought I saw in you I don't know. I should have listened to my best friend, (he squeezes Carly's arm) when she told me you were bad news. Now get out of my face and if I see you near Carly again, I will personally instruct her guards to move you using any means necessary. Am I understood?
Elizabeth turns in a huff, and leaves Luke's.
Jason turns to Carly, who is still in shock.
J: Carly, Carly. It's okay now. She is gone.
Carly all of a sudden starts trembling. Jason starts to wrap his arms around her, when she looks at him finally with some recognition, she snaps. She breaks away from him and runs out of Luke's and into the rain. Jason takes off after her in the rain.
J: God Carly, where are you going?
He chases her into the park. He finally catches her.
J: Carly, it's me Jason. It's okay. You are alright. He hugs her from behind wrapping his arms around her tightly. She is hysterical and putting up such a fight. He is having a hard time holding her with the rain pouring down on them. He tries calming her down. He falls to his knees with her still in his arms. He begins rocking her back and forth.
J: Carly, please sweetheart calm down. I've got you, you're safe. Carly you are safe. No one will hurt you, I promise. Please baby your scaring me. Carly it's just me, Jase. Your safe!!
She suddenly realizes it is Jason's arms around her and she stops fighting.
C: JASE??
J: Yeah baby it's me. You're okay. I'm going to take care of you I promise. Let's just go and get out of the rain.
C: She starts to freak again, NO!! PLEASE DON�T TAKE ME BACK TO SONNY. PLEASE JASON PLEASE, NO!!!!!
Jason wonders what the hell has happened that she would not want to go back to her home. Something must have happened, she seemed genuinely scared.
J: Shush, baby. We don't have to go back there. I will take you home with me. It's okay. With those assurances, he can feel her start to relax against him again.
C: Promise me you won't take me back to him.
J: I promise Carly. Come on we have to get you dry, your gonna catch pneumonia out here.
Jason picks her up and carries her in his arms back to the limo. He instructs Johnny to take them to the Port Charles Hotel. He needs to get her warm in a nice big tub and then by a fire and his room at Jakes was so small and lacking what Carly needed right now. He held her tightly the entire limo ride to the hotel. Carly just clung to him. She was trembling and seemed to be still in shock. He was really worried about her.
