Carly slips out of bed quietly, she grabs some clothes out of her suitcase and heads for the bathroom to change. She emerges a few minutes later all dressed to go running. She looks over to see Jason still sound asleep, smiling she heads down stairs. She exits the penthouse and sees Marco still standing outside the door.
C: No one relieve you yet Marco?
M: Not yet Ms. Spencer.
C: Marco, I know Jason wouldn't like it, but when he's not around please call me Carly okay?
M: Okay Carly. Does Mr. Morgan know where you are going?
C: No he is still asleep. Just let him know I went running. Tell him I have my tracker on and I plan to be back in one hour.
M: Carly, I don't think Mr. Morgan would like it if you went running by yourself, you really should have someone with you.
C: Why Marco, do you want to go running with me?
M: I can't leave my post Carly.
C: Okay, then I am off.
M: Wait! (he stops her knowing Jason would kill him if he let her go alone) Carly let me get someone to cover the door and I will go change.
C: Good, get going.
Bobby comes to cover the front door and Carly waits outside Marco apartment for him to change. He comes out a few minutes later.
C: All set?
M: Yes.
C: Cool lets go. So do you normally run?
M: Yeah I try to everyday. How bout you?
C: I am on a pretty strict training routine. Running is the easy part (she laughs as they exit Harbor View Towers and start on their 5 mile run).
Jason wakes up and groggily reaches for Carly but feels nothing but an empty side of the bed. His eyes pop open immediately as he calls out for her. CARLY! He jumps out of bed and fumbles to find a pair of jeans and throws them on, heading downstairs.
J: Carly! (He opens the door to see Bobby outside.) Bobby do you know where Carly went?
B: Yes sir, she went running. Marco went with her.
J: What did she say exactly Bobby? (he rolls his eyes at his guard's stupidity)
B: That she had her tracker on and that she would be back in one hour.
J: Okay, so how long has she been gone?
B: About 40 minutes now sir. They should be back soon.
Jason sighs and turns back around heading back into the penthouse. He goes upstairs and gets a shower and dresses for the day.
Carly and Marco finish their run and enter Harbor View Towers.
C: That was great, thanks Marco.
M: No problem Carly.
C: Hey Marco, is there a gym here in the building?
M: Yeah it's over here. He leads her to the in house gym.
Carly enters and looks around. It wasn�t exactly what she was used to but she did spot a weight bag in the corner and smiled.
C: Okay this will have to do. Marco I am gonna stay down here and work out a bit, you can leave if you want.
M: The boss would have my head if I left you alone. I'll stay till you're done.
C: Suit yourself hey is there any sound system in here?
M: Yes.
C: Great turn it on and crank it up man.
Marco turns on the stereo and stands to the side by the door. Carly starts working out on the weight bag, throwing punches to warm up, then she finds her groove and starts throwing kicks and punch combinations. She steps back, as the bag is moving all over the place.
C: Marco, come over her and hold this bag for me please.
Marco comes over and holds the bag as Carly starts in again on her assault of the bag. She's warmed up and starts to get down to business, landing spinning kicks and roundhouses one right after the other, all the while also landing punch after punch. Marco is amazed at her strength as he is trying his hardest to keep the bag in place.
Jason comes downstairs all dressed, noticing the time he heads back out to the hallway.
J: BOBBY!
B: Sir?
J: Where are they?
B: Their down in the gym sir, working out.
Jason pinches the bridge of his nose and heads to the elevator. He rides down to the gym and finds Carly spinning and kicking up a storm while Marco looks on. Jason walks in unnoticed and turns off the music. Carly stops immediately turning to see Jason staring at her with an ice-cold expression on his face. Carly raises an eyebrow at him.
C: What the hell did you do that for?
J: Marco you can leave now, your done for the day.
M: Sir?
J: You heard me MARCO get out.
Marco walks away from Carly and quickly exits the gym, thankful that he was able to walk out of there on his own.
C: Care to explain that?
J: Your done now Carly.
C: Excuse me? Did you just give me an order?
J: Carly, you cant leave like that without telling me where you are going.
Carly starts to sarcastically laugh. C: Okay I know you didn't just tell what I can and can't do.
He starts to walk over to her, and she meets him coming face to face with him. She looks him right in the eye.
C: No one tells me what to do Jason. NO ONE! You need to get that ego of yours in check, and calm down.
She turns to leave and he grabs her arm forcefully preventing her from leaving. She spins around quickly with fire in her eyes. Getting right in Jason's face.
C: I suggest you take your hands off of me NOW!
Jason looks and sees that she is serious. He quickly lets go of her arm.
J: I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that.
C: Your damn right you shouldn't have.
She turns and walks away from him heading for the stairs. She starts running up the stairs and Jason starts to follow her, but jumps on the elevator trying to beat her to the penthouse. The elevator opens and Carly has already making her way down the hall to the door to the penthouse. Jason yells out after her.
J: Carly! CARLY!
Bobby thinks that Jason wants him to stop Carly so he jumps in front of her grabbing her. Carly goes into auto pilot fighting her way free of his grasp. Once she is free she throws a punch into his stomach, then a spinning kick to his jaw sending him flying backward onto the floor unconscious.
Carly spins around fuming facing Jason. C: You have your fucking goons man handle me? WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT JASON?
Jason slowly approaches her with his hands in the air in surrender. J: I didn't want that baby; I would never have anyone touch you.
C: Don't you dare call me baby, you bastard!
J: Okay, Carly do you remember our promise? That no matter how mad we got at each other we would work it out, even if it meant locking ourselves in a room and fighting it out?
C: Yeah (she says rolling her eyes).
J: Then lets do that okay? Lets go inside and hash this out.
C: You want to fight, then lets go big man. She flings the door open and waits for Jason to enter the room.
J: I am sorry this got so out of hand.
C: I'm really pissed right now Jason.
J: I know you are. Carly I was worried about you. I woke up and you were nowhere to be found. I panicked, I am sorry.
C: I wont have you controlling me Jason. I do what I want when I want it, I am not changing, you knew that when we got back together.
J: And you know that things are going to be crazy over the next few days. It's just that we never talked about our plans for today. God baby, don't you know if anything happened to you it would kill me. It would kill me Carly.
He starts to close the gap between them until he is standing right in front of her. He can tell her face is slowly starting to soften. He lifts his hand and brushes a wisp of hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear.
C: So next time I wake you up huh?
J: That would be great.
C: I'm still not use to this whole being a couple thing.
J: We work on it together okay?
C: Okay, together.
He pulls her into a hug, which she returns, tightly wrapping her arms around his waist.
J: So are we okay?
C: Yeah were okay. She stands on her toes, to kiss Jason, biting his lower lip before she pulls away. One more thing though, Jase. If any of your men ever touch me again, I will fucking kill them.
J: You don't have to worry about that. If anyone ever touches you again, I will kill them myself. I will have a chat with all of the men, they will understand that you are off limits, trust me.
C: Good. Okay so I am gonna go jump in the shower did you eat yet?
J: No. What would you like for breakfast?
C: Seriously?
J: Yeah, I'll get you anything you want.
C: Mmmm, okay how about getting some whole-wheat bagels with some peanut butter and some fruit.
J: Okay, it will be here after your shower.
C: Thanks Jase. She gives him another quick before heading upstairs to the shower.
Jason smiles shaking his head relieved that they were able to work things out relatively easily. He picks up the phone calling Francis.
J: Hey man, I need you over here shortly. Call Johnny and have him meet us here. Ask him stop by the store and pick up some fresh fruit, some wheat bagels and peanut butter on his way over here. Thanks man, see you in a little bit.
Jason heads upstairs to check on Carly. He enters the bedroom and sees her standing in her bra and panties combing out her wet hair in front of the mirror in the bathroom. He enters the bathroom, leaning against the doorway.
J: I really am sorry baby. I love you Carly.
She turns facing him, smiling.
C: I know you are Jase.
She sets her comb down and walks over to him, resting her hands on his chest.
C: I love you too Jason. We are gonna fight from time to time. We have too much passion not to darlin.
Jason smiles feeling a weight had been lifted from his heart. He rests his hands on her hips, pulling her into him tighter and leaning down and kissing her. Their kiss deepens and Jason starts to move his mouth down to her neck, and his breathing starts to be come ragged. Carly starts laughing pushing him off of her.
C: Okay, I need to get dressed Jase. He pulls her back to him, kissing her again, this time slowly and tenderly.
J: I love you always baby.
Carly smiles and rests her forehead against his. C: Enough mushiness let me get dressed already.
J: Alright, (he says chuckling) I will let you get dressed. Francis and Johnny are on their way over. I thought maybe you would like to have Johnny help you out today with your little project.
She walks back out into the bedroom.
C: That sounds great, thank you. I'll be down in a minute.
J: Okay. He heads back downstairs to let Carly finish dressing.
Francis knocks then enters the penthouse.
F: Hey man, what the hell happened to Bobby? I found him passed out on the floor.
J: He tried to grab Carly don't ask.
F: Okay (he gives Jason a confused look). Johnny should be here shortly.
J: Have the police found Sonny yet?
F: No not yet.
J: Okay, well I had an idea last night, and hopefully we can take care of Sorrel before they do. I want you to get the men together, call a meeting for later this morning.
F: No problem boss. The architect is here, where do you want me to have him start?
J: Have him start on the club downtown. We still need to clean out Sonny's apartment before we can start anything in there.
F: You got it. I'm just gonna go step out into the hallway and make some of the calls.
J: Okay man.
Francis exits the penthouse as Johnny is coming in.
Johnny: Hey man.
F: Hey go on in the boss is waiting for you.
Johnny looks at Bobby who looks like hell. He nods in his direction while talking to Francis.
Johnny: What happened to him.
F: Carly. (Johnny raises his eyebrows giving him a look of holy shit.)
Johnny: Oh.
Johnny enters the penthouse.
Johnny: Hey boss, good morning.
J: Hey Johnny. You got breakfast?
Johnny: Right here. Just like you asked for.
J: Great. Set the stuff down in the kitchen. (Jason continues to talk to him as he enters the kitchen and then comes back out). I have a job for you today.
Johnny: Okay boss.
J: Carly needs your help today. I want you with her, not guarding her exactly, just helping her with her new project. She can take care of herself, you are just gonna be her back up if she needs it. I trust you Johnny, and I know Carly trusts you. I hope you know that me picking you for this job means a lot. She is everything to me and I wouldn't trust just anyone with her.
Johnny: I understand boss, you can always count on me.
J: Thank you Johnny. Besides, I know she can kick your ass if she wanted to.
Johnny: Yeah I know, I just saw Bobby.
J: Well I think Bobby has learned his lesson. I don't think he will try to grab Carly ever again.
Francis enters back into the penthouse. F: Everything is all set boss.
J: Good, now lets grab some breakfast before we head down to the warehouse.
Francis and Johnny head into the kitchen and grab some food and start eating. Jason walks over to the stairs to call for Carly.
J: Carly, breakfast is here.
Carly comes bouncing down the stairs in a pair of hip hugger jeans, a red bandana print halter top on and her hair in pigtails. C: Good cause I am starving.
She rushes past Jason beating him into the kitchen.
C: Hey guys good morning. She goes over and grabs a bagel, spreading lots of peanut butter on it.
J & F: Morning Carly.
C: So Johnny I hear you are gonna help me out with my project today.
Johnny: Yup.
C: Cool we will have fun.
J: Not too much fun.
C: Well than your deluding yourself darlin, cause today is going to be a blast! (She laughs then walks over and gives him a kiss on the cheek). Don�t worry, Johnny will keep me from getting into too much trouble.
J: I've heard that one before.
Jason and Francis finish up their breakfast and are getting ready to leave, while Carly and Johnny are still eating. Jason walks over to Carly giving her a kiss on the forehead.
J: I'll be at the warehouse if you need me for anything, call my cell. I will most likely be late tonight. Please be careful and BE GOOD.
C: I will darlin. If you need any back up you call me too okay?
J: Deal.
Jason and Francis leave.
C: Well Johnny its just you and me my friend.
Johnny: So what are we doing today?
C: Well Johnny, we are going to do a little shopping first. I need to get some computer equipment. Then we need to see my Uncle Luke about some pictures. Then the fun will begin.
Johnny: What are we gonna do with the computer stuff?
C: We are going to doctor a few photos and have some fun, getting even. Come on, let's get going. I want to payback little Miss Lizzie Webber as soon as possible.
