Jason takes Carly's hand and laces his fingers through hers. As they approach the building Carly stops and asks - "Hey are you hungry?"
J: As a matter of fact, I am starving. What did you have in mind?
C: Carly begins pulling him down the street and stops in front of a Pizza shop. Jason laughs..."Some things don't change." They go in and order a pizza to go. As they are walking back to the apartment building, Jason can't help but comment on the fact that she lives so close to a Pizza shop.
C: Well I have to admit, that is just one of the many reasons we decided to settle here. Their pizza is incredible Jase. Okay, were here. She reaches for her keys and a plastic security card. She unlocks the outside door then swipes her card through the security panel and the doors open for them. Once inside they head up to her apartment. As they reach her door, she unlocks the door and turns the lights on.
C: "Home Sweet Home, come on in and have a seat." Jason enters and gazes around. Carly grabs the pizza from him and heads into the kitchen. She hollers out to him "Beer Jase?"
J: Yes, thanks.
She grabs two beers and some plates and joins Jason who is standing in an enormous living room that is decorated in rich burgundy and purples. There is a large black leather couch in the center of the room with matching black leather chairs. Beautiful large plants are everywhere. There is a large vertical aquarium in the corner of the room that is all illuminated with bright lights. A fireplace is on another wall, across from an entire wall of windows. He is amazed with the surroundings.
C: Jason, earth to Jason. What are you thinking?
J: Carly this place is incredible.
C: This is just the living room, you ain't seen nothing yet. Are you gonna join me or just stand there staring at my stuff. She goes and turns on the fireplace and sits down with the pizza and starts eating. Jason joins her by the fire and takes a slice of pizza and a drink of beer.
J: It's like old times - huh? It always amazed me that you could be so content with just a few beers and pizza. I am glad to see that hasn't changed!
C: What can I say, I am easy to please. At least in some aspects. (she laughs).
J: So are you gonna tell me how you ended up here? You seem to be doing very well for yourself.
C: Well you know that me Gia and Lucky are very close. That night I saw Lizzie at your place we all headed to Vegas to turn our savings into big money. Lucky had learned quite a few tricks while in Helena's captivity. One of them, allowed us to hit it big at several casinos in Vegas. We actually nearly broke the bank at one. When we hit it big, we all stayed up late talking that night and decided not to return to Port Charles. We vowed to make something of ourselves, and our lives, and to do it together. We traveled around for awhile, until we came here. It just felt right, when we arrived. There is a great tourist population here and the business opportunities are unbelievable. So we set up here. The club and apartment building fell into our laps really. The rest is history.
J: So how did you learn to fight so well?
C: Lucky.
J: I had no idea that Lucky could fight.
C: There is a lot about Lucky you don't know. He went through a lot that year he was taken away from us. He did what he needed to do to survive. Helena had him trained in many different forms of defense and fighting techniques. She had planned to use him as one of her soldiers against Luke. He gained her confidence and she in turn schooled him with the best trainers and teachers. When he finally escaped and made it home, he found that he had changed and people did not except the new Lucky. They kept looking for the old Lucky, and he couldn't go back to who he was. You can understand how that feels can't you?
J: yeah.
C: So he was looking for an out, when I thought you had betrayed me. We decided to leave. Gia was my best friend and she and Lucky had fallen in love so she joined us. Lucky has passed his knowledge on things down to us. And so here we are. I can kick ass and of course have a few tricks up my sleeves. We are happy here.
J: I am glad you had Lucky and Gia. I am just sorry you had to leave and that we lost over a year away from each other. (Jason's jaw starts to clench and he is visibly getting angry). Those bastards set us up and played us like fools. They are going to pay for this!
C: Carly tries to calm him down by bring her hand to his face, "Jase, you are here now, and we both know the truth. They can't hurt us anymore."
J: Jason leans into her touch, and closes his eyes. "You are right, about that, they won't hurt us anymore. But Carly, I can't just forget. Sonny is going to pay for what he did."
C: You have something planned don't you?
J: Yeah I do. Do you want in?
C: You even have to ask? Of course I want in, but Jase you never included me in your business before, why now?
J: Things are different now, we are both different. I want us to be partners in life, partners in every aspect of each other's lives. I want us to be able to trust each other so we will never have any doubt or secrets between us. You are so strong and intelligent Carly, I've seen that you are more than capable of protecting yourself. I want us to have each other's backs and know that we can count on each other always. I love you, and I want you in my life completely as my best friend, my lover, and my partner in life.
Carly can feel the tears well up in her eyes. She is speechless, god she had always dreamed of the day that Jason would say these words to her. Now he was here in front of her. All she could do was stare into his blue eyes and try to get her voice to work.
C: Wow.... I can't believe those words came from your mouth. I love you too, Jason. I never stopped loving you. I did try to forget you, but my heart would never let me move on. I guess a greater force knew we weren't over just yet. I would love more than anything to be your partner in EVERYTHING. I do want us to share everything. She inches closer to him so that she is kneeling in front of him and takes his face into her hands. She leans her forehead against his and whispers "I give you my heart and soul, they are in your hands now."
Jason grabs her waist and pulls her onto his lap and presses his lips against hers. He runs his tongue along her bottom lip. She opens her mouth and gently moves her tongue into his. They share a deep, passionate kiss. They both pull back away and look into each other's eyes. Jason takes his thumb and traces her bottom lip.
J: Nothing and no one will ever take you away from me again baby.
Carly smiles the smile that she only gives to him. One that she hasn't shared with anyone since they have been apart.
C: So are you gonna tell me this plan or are you going to keep me in suspense?
J: I'd like to share a lot more with you right now. He grins at her devilishly.
C: I bet you would, but you need to be patient with me. I am not ready.
J: Okay, okay. The plan.
Jason proceeds to tell her how he has separated completely from Sonny and the business. He fills her in on Hannah Scott the FED he contacted to bring Sonny down. He tells her that Frances is in town and that Johnny will also be joining them, and that he plans to take over Sonny's business and set up the organization here, with her.
C: So I know what you have planned for Sonny, but what about Elizabeth?
J: I thought I would leave her to you.
C: REALLLLY? Well Mr. Morgan you certainly are full of surprises tonight. I am sure I can come up with something to show Little Miss Lizzie Webber that she can't mess with us and get away with it.
J: I figured you would be up for the challenge.
Carly and Jason snuggle up on some pillows by the fire and continue talking the rest of the night, catching up on everything that has been going on in their lives since they have been apart. Somewhere through the night, they both fell asleep in each other's arms.
