Back Office at Fire & Ice:
G: Well ...
C: Well what?
G: Are you gonna spill or am I gonna have to pry it out of you? You and Jason looked pretty cozy on that dance floor earlier.
C: Yeah, I think we are gonna have another try at this love thing. Ya know I never stopped loving him. Even though I wanted to, he has always had my heart. He told me some things tonight that changed everything.
G: I can't wait to hear the whole story, but it is almost midnight and our guest should be arriving. Are you ready?
C: Yes, can you go and give the guys instructions. I need a minute to collect myself and then we will charm the pants off those men. They will want in on the big game tomorrow night after we do a little snoozing and show them around.
G: Okay, I will meet you out front in 10 minutes.
Across town:
Jason enters the hotel and sees Francis sitting in the lobby.
J: Hey man, glad to see you got here. Did Sonny give you a hard time?
F: No after you spoke to him, he didn't suspect a thing.
J: Let's go upstairs.
Both men headed toward the elevator to Jason's room.
F: So how did things go with Carly?
J: Good, she actually listened to me and she believes me. I think she will want to talk with you tomorrow though if I know her at all. Wait till you see her, she has changed a lot!
F: Care to explain?
J: Actually I am gonna let you find out yourself tomorrow.
Francis is wondering what's up with that statement, but just shrugs it off.
J: Did you get a chance to talk with Johnny, is he on board?
F: Absolutely, you have his loyalty. Not to mention the fact that he was happy to hear you came after Carly.
J: You guys were all fond of Carly weren't you?
F: She grew on us. She is a spitfire but we would all give our lives for her.
J: You won't have to work so hard protecting her these days.
F: What's that supposed to mean?
J: You'll see... Now back to business. Tell me what is in motion.
F: Well Hanna Scott the FED you contacted is now living with Sonny. He seems to be falling in love with her, when I left she was moving her things into the Penthouse. I still can't believe how much she resembles Brenda and Lily.
J: That's the plan. Now I spoke with Benny and before I left, all traces of my partnership with Sonny have been severed. When he goes down he will go down alone. And we will be there to pick up the pieces of the organization and make it bigger and better. Right now we just need to sit back and let Hanna Scott work her magic, while we set up shop here and start making some contacts in this area.
F: Why here? Aren't we going back to Port Charles?
J: Not for awhile. Carly is here, her family and business are here. So I am gonna build my life and our business here around her needs this time. Wait till you see her club, it is fantastic.
F: So is there anything else you need me to do tonight?
J: No go get some rest. I will check in with you tomorrow. I am gonna go meet Carly back at the club after closing. I'll see you later.
After Francis leaves Jason jumps into the shower before he heads over to the club to meet Carly.
Fire & Ice:
Gia and Carly have met with the gentlemen from out of town. They have showed them all around the club and tower where the game will be held tomorrow. Lucky filled them all in on the rules and stakes. Each man paid their fifty thousand dollars admission fee to the game and said their goodbyes for the evening.
Gia, Carly, and Lucky are all in the tower.
L: Well ladies, that went well. We now have a full guest list for tomorrow's game. It has proven to be a very lucrative night.
C: Just what we like to hear. Are we gonna close the club tomorrow night?
L: No let's keep things running as is. Friday night is a big night for us and we don't want to draw any unwanted attention to the game.
G: Your right, it is best if we run things status quo.
L: Carly, Jason came by to see me earlier this afternoon when you girls were out shopping. He had some pretty interesting things to say. I think you will be surprised to hear his story.
C: Actually, I already have and I believe him. It makes sense. I just can't believe that Sonny and little Miss Lizzie would do what they did. I would like to get them each alone in a room for an hour and kick their Asses! They took over a year away from us just to be hurtful and break us up.
L: Oh I believe it. Elizabeth had everyone fooled with her little miss goodie goodie act. But you helped me see through it when I returned. One of the things Helena taught me was how to read people, and that girl just isn't right. As for Sonny, we all know what he is capable of. So what is going on with you and Jason?
C: It is weird; I am not sure how to act with him. I have changed so much; I am not the same person anymore. I don't know if he can accept me the way I am now or not. I won't go back to being that weak girl I once was. I do still love him though. Seeing him again, has only made me realize that even more. I guess we have to work on getting to know each again, and building trust between us.
L: Are you going to go back to Port Charles with him?
C: No way! I love it here, my family, my business, MY LIFE is here. I already told him I am staying here. He said he would stay here with me. So we will see.
L: Well, looks like things are finally coming together for you guys. I always knew you to belonged together. Even though I wanted to kill him at one time. Jason is a good man, and I will always have your back.
Carly goes and pulls Lucky into a big hug. "Thanks cous, I love you".
C: Now why don't you guys go home and have a nice romantic night. I will close up here. Jason is gonna meet me here; I can put him to work.
L: You don't have to ask us twice. He grabs Gia and wraps his arms around her waist..."Come on honey, let's go home."
G: Thanks girlfriend, now don't forget you owe me lots of details tomorrow.
L: Carly, don't forget tomorrow morning we have an early morning run and then training. So don't stay up too late!!
C: Yeah, yeah, I know - not get outta here!
Lucky and Gia leave and Carly heads downstairs to the club. She announces "LAST CALL". She cuts the music and instructs the girls to start the nightly routine. She then goes over the night with her security men. They run down what went wrong and talk about plans for tomorrow's night's game.
C: Bobby I want you and Tony in the tower tomorrow night. Robert, I want you to pull together a team and set up a layout for the game tomorrow night, call in extra guys, payroll is not problem. I just want things to be VERY SECURE and things to run smoothly. You will all get a large bonus if things go well tomorrow night. So go home now and rest up.
Robert: Carly, Bobby and I will stay on the exits till you leave. I will be in early evening to go over everything with you and Lucky.
C: Sounds good Robert. Thank You!
R: Nice job tonight with those guys. I don't think they will ever forget you.
C: (she laughs) "I don't either." Now get yourselves something to drink and relax a bit.
R: Thanks we will be covering the doors.
Carly heads over to the registers and starts counting the money from the evening. Jason comes up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her neck. He whispers, "hey beautiful". Carly smiles and turns around facing Jason. "Hey there."
J: So how did your big meeting go?
C: It went great, thanks.
J: So are you almost finished up here?
C: No not really, but I could put you to work... and if I remember correctly, you are great with numbers.
J: What did you have in mind?
C: Help me count this out and record everything in the books?
J: Well what will I get for helping you?
C: Oh so that's how it's gonna be huh?
J: Well my services don't come cheap ya know.
C: So are you gonna tell me what I am gonna have to do in return for your invaluable help?
J: Another Dance.
C: Jason Morgan, two dances in one night. I used to have to drag you to the dance floor, now you seem to be the one who wants to do all the dancing.
J: I love having you in my arms baby, what can I say!
C: Okay another dance. Now are you gonna help me or what?
Jason helps Carly count the take from the evening is and recording everything in the books for her. He shakes his head and laughs...
C: What's so funny?
J: You guys are really raking in the bucks aren't you?
C: You have no idea.
J: Well if these books are any indication, I'd say you guys were a huge success.
C: Those books don't show everything.
J: Care to elaborate?
C: Not just yet.
J: You don't fully trust me do you?
C: Do you fully trust me? (neither one answers)
J: I guess that is something we have to work on huh?
C: Yes, I mean Jase we just came back into each other's lives. We need to learn about each other again and get US back. I think trust will come back eventually.
J: So how bout we begin with that dance you owe me?
C: Let's go check on the club first, and make sure everyone has left.
The club is quiet and Kimberlin is just getting ready to leave, she tells Carly everything is done and all set.
Robert comes in.
C: Robert has everyone left?
R: Everyone has gone home. Do you want Bobby and I to stay and close up?
C: No, thanks I will lock up. You guys go get some rest for tomorrow.
R: Good enough, have a good night Carly.
C: Oh Robert, before you leave I want you to meet a friend of mine. Robert this is Jason Morgan. Jase, this is Robert Kelly. He is the head of our security team. He is the best.
Both men size each other up and shake hands. They exchange a few pleasantries. Then Robert leaves.
C: Why don't you go pick out a song and I'll get the lights. My CD's are behind the bar.
Jason goes and scans Carly's selections and finds what he is looking for. He pops in the CD and looks around for Carly.
Carly smiles when she hears the song start. Jason spots her on the dance floor and pulls her against him and tightly wraps his arms around her waist. He presses his forehead against hers.
Carly sighs..."ummm great song"
J: You like?
Carly smiles and pulls him closer resting her head on his shoulder. They let themselves get lost in the song.
Jason whispers in her ear. "Do you know how you effect me? When I am close to you? Baby, you take my breath away. I can't get enough of you." Carly looks Jason in the eyes, and tenderly places a gentle kiss on his lips. They stop dancing and their kiss ignites. Jason bites her lower lip and she parts her lips, waiting for his masterful tongue. His hands start moving up her bare back caressing it. He hears Carly moan and he starts kissing her neck hungrily. He pants out, "God I need you so bad baby."
Carly slowly starts to push him away. He gives her a confused hurtful look. "Jase, I need to take things slowly. I want to be with you but I can't just yet, please understand."
Jason takes her hands. "Okay, I do understand. I want things to be right for you. Although it is not gonna be easy", he says with a genuine smile. "I will wait till you are ready."
C: Thank you. Well this has been quite the eventful day, I am exhausted. Walk me home?
J: Anything you want. Do I get a grand tour of your place?
C: Well I suppose you really didn't get a to see that much last night did you?
J: I am sorry about that, I just wanted to explain things so badly.
C: I know that now. Come on let me lock up and we are out of here. She flips off the lights and they head for Carly's apartment building
