C: Okay, I am all ears. Let's hear it, so I can get on with my night.
J: Carly, please calm down. I need you to really listen, please.
C: I am listening.
J: Can you tell me why you left? I mean I waited for you to show up at the penthouse, when you never did, I called Bobbie, she said you were already home asleep. I figured you had a rough night at Luke's and that I would see ya in the morning.
C: Are you kidding me? Jason, I know the truth, I was at the penthouse that night. I saw little Lizzie Webber, standing in the middle of the living room with nothing but her underwear on.
J: I can't believe they went that far!
C: What? Who? You aren't making any sense. I SAW Jason, with my own eyes. Lizzie filled in the blanks.
J: Carly, god baby, it wasn't real!
C: What the hell are you saying; I didn't see what I saw? I am not blind Jason! Sonny even confirmed it for me. He told me you and Liz were together and had been playing me for a fool. Poor Carly, the only thing you used me for was a good lay.
Jason goes over and grabs her by the arms. "Stop, and listen to me."
J: Sonny and Elizabeth set us up. Sonny wanted you out of my life; he and Liz set the whole scene up that night. Elizabeth and I were NEVER involved. She came to me that night looking for a picture of Emily from when she was little for a scrapbook. I was up stairs getting it for her.
Carly closes her eyes, trying to let all this sink in. C: I don't understand! Why would Sonny do such a thing? I mean was I that much of a threat to you?
J: Not to me baby, you were never a threat to me! It was Sonny who wasn't right, he still isn't. Things have actually gotten worse since you have been gone.
C: Wait! I don't understand then why didn't you come to find me sooner. I mean I left you a note telling what had happened and I wanted you to come and explain things to me.
J: Carly, I NEVER got any letter! Where did you leave it?
C: Oh, god. I gave it to Sonny. But still that doesn't explain why I haven't heard from you for over a year now. I haven't been hiding.
J: Well that is another story in itself. You might want to sit down. Carly sits down on the couch and Jason sits across from her on the coffee table. He looks her in the eyes and continues with the story.
J: After that night, I went looking for you. Bobbie told me that you, Gia, and Lucky took a road trip to Vegas. She said Lucky had been having a hard time adjusting to being back and you wanted to help him out and get away for a few days. I sent a couple guys to Vegas to make sure you were okay. They said you had arrived and they kept me posted. I figured I would see you in a few days. Then things turned ugly at the warehouse. The FEDS were all over us. They said they had a tip about some stuff and I was arrested.
C: You were arrested? For what?
J: That's not important right now. I was released with no charges brought against me. The FEDS just made my life miserable for 6 months. Sonny said he had some guy's check into who tipped off the FEDS and Sonny told me it was you. He had all this stuff on paper and he actually had me convinced. You had left town, and he had me believing you ratted me out and took off, that you never really loved me at all.
C: Jase, I would never betray you like that ever.
J: I know that now Carly, but back then, Sonny had me so turned upside down I didn't know what to believe and I would have still been believing his story. If I hadn't had a wake up call the other day.
C: What happened the other day?
J: Francis! He called me out into the hall the other day and told me to listen. Sonny's door was open a crack and Elizabeth was in there with him. They were talking about what they had accomplished, breaking us up. I was floored!
Francis then went on to tell me what he had seen and heard that evening. We put it all together and figured out what Sonny and Liz had done.
Carly sat staring at Jason. Neither one spoke a word, they both just stared at each other. Finally Carly whispered. C: Looks like neither one of us had much faith in the each other.
J: I know, I am so sorry for this whole mess. They took away over a year from us. A year we could have been together.
C: I wouldn't take this year back though.
J: What?
C: I wouldn't Jase. I have grown so much this year. I have a great life now. I have 2 people that love me unconditionally. I have a great business that I have worked hard for. I can take care of myself now and I am so much stronger than I was. I have learned a lot about myself Jason, and THAT, I wouldn't change.
J: Do you still love me?
C: I have always loved you Jase, but we are both different people now.
J: I know that Carly, you have shown me that these last few days. There is so much I have to learn about you again. You are stronger, and you have changed. I want us to get to know each other again. I love you baby, and I need you now more than ever!
Jason slowly reaches up and touches the side of her face; she closes her eyes and leans into his hand.
C: Jase, so much has happened. I don't....
Before Carly can say another word, Jason is on his knees in front of her and pulls her into him. His lips meet hers, tentatively at first, then he deepens the kiss and Carly starts to kiss him back. He pulls away.
J: Baby look in my eyes... it is me the same man whose heart is now in your hands. I love you and just want a chance to show you how much! Please baby, say you will try.
Carly looks into those ice blue eyes, the ones she used to get lost in so many times. Now she sees pure love staring back at her. She smiles and kisses Jason. She tenderly bites his lower lip. He laughs and opens his mouth waiting for her tongue to come home to him. She slips her tongue into his mouth and they begin to re-acquaint themselves. She pulls back and he whispers, "I missed you baby". She pulls him into a hug and whispers into his ear "I have missed you too."
Carly pulls back ...
C: I want to take things slow this time Jase. We need to get to know each other again. I also, think you should know, I won't go back to Port Charles.
J: Who said anything about going back?
C: You mean you would stay here?
J: Where ever you are is my home. I'm not letting you go ever again. So you're stuck with me, and taking it slow is fine and long as I am with you. I want us to get learn about each other also. There is so much I can't wait to tell you about. But first I have one request.
C: Oh really?
J: Dance with me.
C: Jase, I don't have any music back here.
J: I mean out on the main dance floor. You think you could find a song for us.
C: I think that could be arranged. Carly smiles and grabs Jason's hand pulling him up. They head out into the club. Carly stops at the bar and puts in a CD. She hits #12 and play. She turns back to Jason.... "I loved this song the minute I heard it. It always reminded me of you."
Jason took her hand and walked past Gia and Lucky who at this point were looking dumb founded wondering what was going on. He led Carly out to the dance floor. He took her into his arms and buried his head into her neck. He loved the way she smelled a mixture of vanilla and spice. He had missed this so much, them just holding each other and dancing. Now that he had her in his arms again, he was never gonna let anything or anyone take her away again. The music began to play and Carly closed her eyes and enjoyed being in Jason's strong arms again. She let herself relax into him and swayed to the music.
J: I missed this. Just being with you. He starts to place little kisses on her neck and begins moving his way up to her lips. Carly pulls away
C: Do you think we can make it work this time?
J: We WILL make it work, cause the thought of being without you again, would kill me. Jason holds her tighter and they continue their dance.
Carly stops and hears a commotion by the front of the bar. She pulls away from Jason.
C: Shit! What is going on. Stay here I will be right back.
J: I'm coming with you.
C: Jase please let me handle this. Tonight is a very important night for Lucky and me, just don't do anything no matter what. Promise me!
J: Okay, just be careful.
Carly sees Robert (one of her enforcers nodding to her and holding up 4 fingers). Carly shakes her head no and flashes him a sign with her hands. Jason is bewildered not knowing what is up. But Carly does, she knows the drill. 4 fingers means that 2 guys are drunk and hassling one of her girls at the bar. She whistles for Gia and they both head over toward the bar.
G: Well I guess things had to get exciting at some point.
C: Yeah well I could stand to go without this kind of excitement. Let me handle the guys you get Kimberlin away from the guys and get some girls on the bar to dance. Crank up the music and keep the crowd distracted.
G: Will do - be careful, don't get too much blood on that new outfit.
Jason is just listening and watching the scene unfold. The girls didn't seemed phased one bit by any of it.
C: Well gentlemen how are we all doing tonight?
1st Drunk: Hey baby, come to party with us?
He starts to touch Carly, grabbing her ass. Jason starts toward them, but Carly puts her hand up telling Jason to stay away. Gia slips in between them and grabs Kimberlin and gets her away from the men. They disappear behind the bar. Carly is waiting for the music to start and the girls to start dancing. On cue Gia cranks "Cowboy" by Kid Rock and she and a couple of the girls get on the bar and start dancing. Gia winks at Carly, and Carly nods.
Carly turns to the men who by now have their hands all over her. C: First off, get you fuckin hands off of me. Secondly, never touch one of my girls again. Are we clear?
2nd Drunk: Now that's an awful mouth you have little girl. Maybe someone should teach you to be a little nicer. He raises his hand to strike Carly, but before his hand reaches her face she grabs his arm and twists his wrist behind him, until she hears a "crack" knowing it is broken. The other guy starts to lunge for her and she places a hard kick to his knee shattering his knee cap (one of her favorite moves Lucky had taught her.) She knew that by placing a kick just right and with a lot of force behind it you can break someone's knee, Carly chuckled as the man fell to the floor in pain. Carly looked to find Robert and Danny waiting for her word. She nodded to them and they approached ready to clean up the mess. She followed the boys out as they threw the drunks out the back door.
C: Now boys, I remember faces very well. I now know yours, as I am sure you will remember mine. You are not welcome back in my club again. If I ever see you around here or any of my girls, I won't be so nice next time. Have a good night now.
And with that she and her men turned around and headed back into the bar. Carly scanned the bar. Things looked under control. Gia was still dancing. She looked up at the tower, everything looked okay. She then remembered Jason. She looked around for him and saw him leaning against the wall smiling at her. She walked back over to him.
J: I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it. You were incredible. How did you learn to do that?
C: Jase, there is a lot about me you don't know.
J: Well then you are going to have to catch me up won't you.
C: Okay, but not now. She gives Jason a light kiss on the lips. "Thank You"
J: For what?
C: For letting me handle that.
J: Did I have a choice?
C: No.
Carly hears the music get lower and looks at the bar. The girls are done dancing and are pouring drinks again. Gia spots Carly and heads over to her.
G: It is almost time.
C: God, I almost forgot. Are they here yet?
G: No not yet, I have Bobby on the door, he will let us know when they get here.
C: Good. I need to go and freshen up and calm down before we begin.
J: Carly what is going on?
C: Jase, I have an important meeting.
J: Now? I thought we could head out and talk.
C: I can't, this is really important, and I have to handle it. I don't know how long it will take.
J: Okay, well why don't I come back around 2 after closing and pick you up, and walk you home.
C: If you want too sure. I will see you then.
J: Are you gonna be okay, you seem a bit nervous.
C: She leans in and gives Jason a hug and whispers "I am fine, now get going and I will see you later."
J: Okay, just be careful.
Carly rolls her eyes and smiles at Jason, then links arms with Gia and they head back to their office.
Jason decides to head back to the hotel and start making some calls. He hopes Francis has arrived and is waiting. They needed to start their plans for Sonny in motion.
