Japan/Singapore 2004
I took Sangi to Japan and Singapore in 2004. Both were great places to enjoy. Following are some samplings among the phigs (photo gigs) that we took.

Japan
Opposite the Akasaka palace, amidst a beautiful garden and a Greek style fountain...
With Daisuke and Remi, puzzling how to get inside the Mini...The mini is a favourite of Dai. Finally, it fitted all of us! We rode on to attend the Tokyo Indian Association's Diwali celebration. Funnily, all of us turned out with a shade of red...
On top of the Hakone tour boat, going from the Cable station to the Bus station. A fantastic place, this. The lake is right on the volcano crater. The egg boiled in the volcanic waters is terrific, taken along with just salt.
The train going up to the Hakone cable station, from Tokyo. The scenery is a treat to watch.
My canon doesnt have a high powered zoom, so decided to use it along with the 100-yen powered zoomscope in the watchtower, to take a picture of the far, far cable car coming up the horizon in Hakone. It looks great...
Sangi trying the Mazda in the Tokyo Automobile Exhibition. She liked it...Maybe one day we might take it, till then, goodbye :))
Its not very well known, but there is a small replica of the statue of liberty in Odaiba, Tokyo. This is a picture with the Rainbow bridge in the background. The rainbow bridge connects Tokyo and Yokohama.

Trying out the "Universal Soldier" kit in PC World Expo at the Makuhari messe. Its both terrifying and exhilarating that what we see in "futuristic" movies is not so futuristic after all. Other ones by Minolta were also there.
Two white bears walking it out in the Ueno zoo. They do not seem to lack stamina walking across their place. Or are they cursing us?
Over the weekend, you can see several couples t(r)ying the knot at the Hyatt. Since there is no concept of a marriage hall, or a chathiram here, many marriages happen in hotel lobbies, with limited invitees. We got one picture here.

Singapore
This is an outline of the Chinese temple in Singapore, near Chinatown.
Sentosa contains a place that is the southern most tip of land in the Asian continent. Here Sangi is checking it out...
In Fort Siloso, Sentosa, Singapore...We had a lot of fun running around...The Sentosa is the Singapore equivalent of the DisneySea in Tokyo (except that it is real!). The trees, the sweaty climate, and the upright guns are a reminder to the history of this place.
The musical fountain brings the Sentosa tour to a grand close, with the rhythm of "Its my world" haunting our minds. Dont miss the open top "green line" bus!
