It was 6am & I was sitting at my desk twiddling my thumbs when a report came in that a person had parachuted from a hot air balloon over the sleepy county of Essex, who was this mystery thrillseeker.. I just had to know!

Grabbing my trusty tape recorder & slingin' a Nikon around my neck I made a dash for the carpool only to find the last vehicle available was an ancient scooter, "Oh well" I thought, throwing a leg over n giving an almighty kick, take a tip from Monty Python & look at the bright side, at least I'm not likely to get held up in traffic.

Arriving at the scene in a cloud of black smoke & a screech of worn brake shoes after a most forgettable journey, a very attractive green eyed lady in the midst of a crowd of excited spectators caught my eye.

Removing her 'chute harness & helmet she shook out her long blonde hair and smiled as I hurried over, elbowed my way in, produced my credentials and asked what was behind her daring stunt.

After introducing herself Alegna replied this was something she'd always wanted to do & she had made her leap for charity, the sparkle in her eyes captivated me & I decided there was a story here so I invited her to join me for an early breakfast but when she spied my transport she begged off & gave me the address of a local pub, leaving me with the intriguing comment "Meet me there tonight & I'll answer your questions between rounds."

The sound of applause almost knocked me off my feet as I put in an appearance just in time to see Anj displaying the bullseye style at the dart board that has won her many trophies.

We visited the bar for a refill of Anj's favorite tipple, cognac with a dash of coke then took a seat at a table nearby, I started out by
asking a few background questions and discovered Alegna was born in North London but has lived in Essex,which is a county just north of London, for 30 years now.

While growing up Alegna admired and wanted to be just like Dad who did an awesome job as a full time worker & single parent to
herself & 5 siblings for several years b4 marrying again.

I asked about her job and any ambitions she may have and got this reply " I'm a care assistant looking after the elderly in a residential home, I would like to be the homes manager one day in future."

She's a pretty easy going lady that loves playing cards & meeting people but has no tolerance for racism, Anj is also not too keen on chilis or peppers.. I wonder if thats a carry over from all the garlic she has to use to keep moley in line.

We were finishing up our drinks when a team-mate called Alegna back into the fray so I thanked her for her time, complimented her on her dedication & sweet, giving nature and moved aside so she could rejoin them.

As a parting shot Anj called back over her shoulder with a cheeky grin, " Moley & I are planning to "invade" the States later this year with a visit to Virginia on the cards and any place else that tickles our fancy."
