It is always fun to have time
out for distressing and relaxation after a hard days' work.
Being a new officer and having to absorb a lot of new learnings,
this outing really made my day enjoyable and a memorable
one.
Sgt Kenneth Ng and Cpl Fardely
had organised an outing at Palawan Beach, Sentosa on 31st
March 2004. The beach was chosen for its beautiful beaches
and of course, it had got one of the best spots for our
officers to sun tan. We met at around 1030hrs and when we
reached there, we immediately found a good spot to place
the food and play the games.
As usual, after settling ourselves
down, we started to have our lunch first. The food was catered
and just how could I describe? It was great! We had curry
chicken, fried bee hoon, sandwiches, nuggets and lots more.
The food was delicious and suits the occasion, in fact most
of us had got more than one serving. After filling ourselves
up, officers split into small groups to play games. Some
of them decided to play cards and the more adventurous ones
decided to go for a swim at sea. For me, I decided to try
the sea. The sand was so hot that I had to run from the
spot to the sea as I got to cool myself from the scorching
sun. We played monkey and the big float that is being placed
not far from the sea. Those who were playing cards decided
to join in, probably after being bored with their cards.
We had a lot of fun and laughter.
After much excitement, we decided
to call it a day in the evening. We packed our stuff and
cleaned up the area. As usual, we had to fulfil our responsibilities
as police officers on the next day as it was going to be
our morning shift.
