We have many people who are fighting in the struggle to make a better world and to see that there is true freedom and liberation for all people established in the world. Some of us have given the ultimate sacrifice (our lives0 to see that this happens. One such person has done this and yet, she is one of the many who goes unknown and nameless among the pages of revolutionary history.

Olavia Kastresana, a 22 year old Spanish womyn recently lost her life when a bomb she was making exploded, killing her instantly. She wasn't making a bomb to hurt innocent people; nor was she a womyn insane, but one who was committed to seeing that her comrades are freed from the oppression of a fascist state and was determined to fight back with whatever means necessary to assure this end.

In the Basque Country in Spain, the Basque Independent Movement and insurrectionalists are fighting to have self-determination and freedom and liberty. As a result they are being locked up, out right killed by the fascist police state and jailed on a number of charges. Often trumped up and false, in order to stop the growing tide of independent fighting.

Just as the Italian government unleashed their brutal police force against the protestors in Genoa, Italy which resulted in 23 year old Carlos Guiliani being murdered, we are honored to have such loyal and brave young wimmin and men stand up to the plate of sacrifice and bravely face the enemy in order to try... try to make a difference. Their deaths are our deaths and their deaths are our call to live and push on even harder and not surrender. Not even an once.

Carlos Guiliani has received global acknowledgement of his sacrifice and has made it to the pages of history. But Olavia Kastresana has not, which makes it all the more important that we honor her and let the world know of her name and her dedication and her ultimate sacrifice, and the sacrifices of many others who've met death at the hands of the fascist state, the kapitalist state, the imperialist, colonial, apartheid, racist states around the world whose name will not be known but to a very few. Or the many who are dying in prisons around the world and fight on till their dying breathe... Let us remember them and honor them in our spirit of revolt and resolution.

So it is, to all the ones who have sacrificed their lives in one way or the other... I give my grandest clenched fist salute and my revolutionary kiss.
