Ali Khalid Abdullah is a New Afrikan (Black) man who believes in the principles and doctrines of Anarchism. He is also the founder of a political organisation called Political prisoners of War Coalition (PPWC), which he started in 1994/5 inside prison.
Ali has written a volume of materials touching on a wide range of subjects. A lot of his work has already been printed in revolutionary magazines, 'zines and papers, and he has pamphlets which are available from PPWC's Information Centre and other PPWC distributors. The Anarchist Black Cross of Gent in Belgium produced a booklet of some of his writings called: Prison Writings by Ali Khalid Abdullah. The same booklet has been translated into French by the ABC-Dijon / Maloka and the Innsbruck ABC of Austria are currently translating it into German.
However, Ali continues to be subjected to massive abuse from his captors (prison authorities) which include, but are not limited to; mail tampering, constant shakedowns, parole denials (in spite of the fact that he has not given any real reason for the authorities to continue denying him parole), and the rejection of political materials.
Ali has reached out and supported many people around the world - prisoners and non-prisoners alike. He has shown himself to be a true anarchist freedom fighter and a supporter of freedom and justice for all oppressed and repressed people. That is why we must do our part to offer Ali Khalid Abdullah MAXIMUM support and solidarity. He has earned it. The outreach of PPWC all over the world is alone enough to show his commitment and seriousness to the struggle for human dignity and rights.
Therefore, let us develop a real and honest campaign to push for Ali's freedom and get him out of prison - so he can continue to contribute to our struggles on the OUTSIDE. His abilities must be able to shine beyond the prison walls.
You can show your solidarity to Ali by writing to him, letting him know that you are there for him. Often just a simple letter can open up a new range of fresh ideas for him and for you as well, not to mention developing a lifelong camaraderie.
