Violence in our youth

Today we are finding our nations children of all colours, shapes, sizes, geographical locations and economic backgrounds committing violent acts. We are seeing our nations youth becoming less tolerant of the things they see around them. We are seeing them less engaged and less interested in the past. We must stop and ask ourselves the question why"? Many want to blame the video games, the rap music, the punk and hardcore music, the programs on TV and even on other races, but none of these adults with the questions are looking at themselves.

One of the major problems we have is that our youth are not satisfied with the things they see around them. They are not satisfied with the 10 second smile they see on false faces. They are not satisfied with the hypocrisy they see from adult behaviour and they are not satisfied with the way this country is going. The constant brickering, name calling, blaming, subtle racism, homophobic messages and stereotypes. Our nations youth have become anarchist but without a real direction or principles. They are anarchist only in negating authority, but not in substance. Yet, we adults should not race so quick to place the blame on our youth. They are guided by us. The Adult. They are watching our examples and listening to the words we speak. We must lay the blame on ourselves. The adult world.

Are we to really blame the National Rifle Association (NRA) for our youth using guns to commit violence when those same youths hear reports of police brutality against the people? Is it fair to blame television when the U.$. military brag of how many they have killed in the name of what? Kapitalist interest also known as National Interest"? Are we to blame the drug lords for the overall violence that is taking place when the U.$. Government (CIA) have been implicated in having tons of cocaine dumped in South Central L.A. where those drugs found its way across the Black Nation and later filtered into white suburbia? Are we to blame the gangs" that roam the streets when they cant be distinguished from the acts of police officers?

What I see happening is a lot of blaming and scapegoating and finger pointing but not ADULT responsibility being proclaimed. No adult accountability for the hypocrisy within the home. No adult responsibility being taken for advocating being a nation of carriers when the fact is, this is a nation of dog eat dog". A nation where the professional politician, including the President of the United States, are liars and deviants.

Violence and youth is not going to stop... it is not going to change... it is not going to cease until the hypocrisy and the shamming by political leaders cease to lie to the people.
