Exploitation and Homelessness
In the United $tates of Amerikkka, the working class are an exploited class. They are exploited for their labor; exploited with their vote; exploited by racism, sexism and homophobia (which are systematic instruments used to keep the working class divided and at odds with one another).
This exploitation is directly linked to kapitalism. Kapitalism can only thrive on the basis of overproduction and the restriction of wealth distribution, ie., all material things needed to provide a substantial life, and the domination of the worker.
It is important for the people to realize that this system is not conducive for the people. It is only conductive for those who have control over the resources of the world and use the people to extract those resources with their labor. In fact, the worker has been reduced to a mere "thing" as the machine has taken over the worth of the working class.
This exploitation and worker manipulation have left a gulf between the haves and the have-nots which is why we have found more and more people living in poverty and unable to have an affordable place to live. The greed syndrome, which kapitalism produces, has created a surplus of homeless people, unemployed people, disenfranchised and incarcerated people. This greed monster has caused the elderly to be unable to purchase prescription drugs needed to sustain the quality of their lives because the pharmaceutical companies are more concerned with PROFIT than they are about human life. Yet, the United $tates claim to be the "humanitarian" country and goes around the world telling others about human rights violations when we have up to 2 million people in jails or prisons; people living on the streets and a strategically devised permanent unemployed class.
As long as the people continue to believe in; buy into; support and advocate for this current system we will continue to have people living in poverty and squalor.
All of the homeless are workers. They belong to the ever-growing army of the unemployed and the dispossessed. Thus kapitalism presents itself as a pure contradiction and fosters the degeneration of the worker to an appendage of a machine... a tool to be used. They have been thrown into the trash bin as expendable and unwanted which has caused massive poverty and that poverty has resulted in many not being able to have a decent place to lay their heads. We also must look at and discuss the whole issue of "property ownership" and the greed of landowners who exploit the poor with outrageous prices to live in buildings. What greater display of injustice can there be than to have a country's citizenry living in the streets; eating out of garbage bins to find food while at the same time, government officials point their plastic fingers at other countries for alleged "human rights violations."
Every citizen of the United $tates... every worker (whether employed or not) should stand up and storm the Pimp house known as the White House and all $tate kapital buildings and throw out the political trash and retake, reclaim, and reshape our lives according to OUR WILL and not that of the politician and corporations whose bottom line is not our well-being, but that of making more money and acquiring more power in order to enforce its rule over others. However, as long as we continue to believe in and buy into this farce we've been handed down... as long as we continue to allow ourselves to be dominated and manipulated into dividing ourselves along the artificiality of skin color, class, and other acts of separation, we will continue to bemoan our existence to a non-hearing entity and thus live a sad and pathetic half-life. WE have the power to change the conditions in which we live. We have the power to enforce our wills and have what we want if we are willing to stand firmly together and not allow ourselves to be tricked by the illusionary façade thrown to us, or sell out one another for some momentary relief, which won't last.
