| Status Report-January 2, 2005. Zac Hensley As mentioned on the most recent episode of Foundation, the company is going through a lot of changes. December saw the highest ratings and revenue the company has ever seen, but it aslo almost destroyed the company internally. Several members of the RCW, FPPVW, and Jon Z Promotions Board of Directors were accused of embezzeling large sums of money from the parent and subsidiary companies. After an out of court settlement that was compleded in a surprisingly short amount of time, RCW is ready for a comeback of sorts and is starting out with a major risk. After the success of Foundation on Fox Sports Digital stations, Fox Television has agreed to a change in the contract that will move both Foundation and This Week In RCW to late night slots on the Fox Network. We aren't going to predict an immediate turnaround in ratings or extraordinary growth, but we are confident that our new exposure will lead to new fans finding our product. We urge our fans, if you like what you see, let Fox know about it, and perhaps soon we can see our shows in prime time! On the downside, the later time slots we have been given have a few restrictions, and one of them is time. For the initial trial run of both shows we have had to cut back to one hour programs. We hope that the increased availability of This Week In RCW will help keep fans satisfied while we try and prove our programing worthy of additional exposure. Now that the new year has begun, the Road to the Revolution Tournament is almost underway. This is an extremely exciting development for us here in RCW, as it provides a great opportunity to see a variety of great matches and show new fans exactly why RCW is the fastest growing wrestling promotion in the world today. New acquisitions to the roster are being placed in the brackets as we speak. Meanwhile, almost all of the active roster is being positioned for this ultimate opportunity to headline WrestlingRevolution. Round One of the tournament will dominate our programing for the month of January, finishing off at RCW Genesis on Pay Per View. You can expect at least three tournament matches to be featured on each televised event. Round Two will begin at the end of the month, and will lead right up to Pain and Glory in February. After this the tournament will slow its momentum and the second bracket will have it's chance to shine in the lead-up and execution of the Gauntlet PPV in March. April's Countdown PPV will play host to the Semi-Finals and Finals of the Tournament, leaving one winner to face the RCW Champion at WrestlingRevolution II. Keep an eye here and on the brackets link on the main page of PPVrenegade for scores and tournament progression. |
