| BUSHFIRE RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN 2009 |
| The Riverina Highlands Zone Bush Fire Management Committee (BFMC) is currently reviewing its Bushfire Risk Management Plan during 2008/9 and seeks the communities involvelment in preparing the plan. The BFMC has developed a draft base document and it was on public exhibition until 16th March 2009. The BFMC has now endorsed the plan and is awaiting the Bushfire Coordinating Committee (BFCC) to validate it. Bushfire risk planning is all about identifiing fire risk, assets and determining treatments to protect those assets.
