today I got a new passport. the old one had the lamination come off on the front page.. i had to face a lot of harassment from the immigration officials due to that... once at bangalore airport, i even had to get a sign from some babu to get clearance to fly!!!
this time got sort of ultimatum from the trivandrum airport that if i didnt change my passport, they will detain me.. :)
the funny part is that only at indian airports i face this kind of problems. none of the immigration officers at dubai/muscat/sharjah/london had any problems with it..
initially there was only a small area where the lamination had come off. at the immigration at kochi and trivandrum, they poke in their fingers into it as much as they could, and the end result is the passport was totally damaged.
anyways, hope this misery will end now.. :)
