| Rabbits really do not require alot, as some other pets do. A cage that is safe for the rabbit and the person. This cage needs to be located out of extreme heat and cold. You will need a feed dish and a water dish/bottle. Feed that suites your animal, for those smaller breeds it is recommended to feed them 16% protien pellets, and the larger breeds 18% protien. I also recommend hay for additional fiber. If you will be showing you will need a carrier, this needs to be safe with plenty of air. Depending on the breed you may need grooming equipment such as brushes, combs and blowers. If you are showing a blower is a great way to make that wool look denser. I personally use a small vacum on exhaust and it works nicely. You will also need nail trimmers, and baby wipes work great to take off any lose hairs, or sticky stuff on the coat. Make sure you have the basics before you bring your new pet home. |
