Showing is a great activity, it allows you to know what you need to work on and were your rabbits need to be. You also have the opportunity to meet many great breeders. In order to show you need to know the animals breed, variety, sex, age, and tattoo number. You fill out a entry form and a remark card using this information. Then you wait until your breed is called to the table. Pay close attention for your rabbits specific class, ex. Mini Rex, Broken, Sr. Buck. Bucks always go before does, and Sr. start then 6/8 (if included in the breed) and then Jr.s.
Place your rabbit on the table in one of the divided holding cages. The judge will then examine them for DQ's and the quality of the rabbit compared to the standard of perfection. The judge will then place the animals, giving comments on his OPINION of the rabbit. This is a very important part of showing, is understanding that this is one persons opinion. Everyone interperts things differently, ex. When the standard states a rabbit should have refuse red coat with black ticking. My exceptations of refuse red may be different that yours. So understand that this is thier opinion and later you may receive another similar or may be completley the oppisite of the previous comments.

Of the above 1st place animals, one broken animal will be chosen, this will be the Best of Varitey (BOV), another animal will be selected of the oppisite sex, this will be the Best oppisite sex of variety (BOSV) 2 of the 4 proceed. |

Of the above Solid animals, one will be chosen as the Best of Variety (BOV), and one of the oppisite sex will be chosen as the Best Oppisite Sex of Varitey (BOSV). Two of the four will proceed. |

| These four BOV, and BOSV's will compete for Best of Breed BOB |
|
|
|
All best of Breed animals will compete for best four class, or six class, depending on the breed specifications. Out of up to 45 animals, 2 will proceed. |

|
|
Of the best 4 and 6, one animal will recieve Best In Show (BIS)!!! You could have started with 300 at a show and end with one top animal! |
