Lamborghini is probably the most recognized of mega exotic sports cars from
Italy. The Diablo's evolution from the outdated boxy Countach led it to
possess a sleeker body and far more advanced engine. The final years of
this vehicle had the most impressive performance numbers of any previous
Lamborghini. The diablo is fairly successful to sell at least 300+ units
a year at nearly 300 grand. |

in 1999 The S7 was a departure from the previous Saleens which were merely
modified Fords. The S7 is clearly inspired by the McLaren F1 but lacks the
overall exoticism of its rival. The S7 is however considerably less expensive
at 375 grand and performs well but not as strong on the racetrack. |

by Pinanfarina, home of the Ferrari design team, the Zonda C12S is designed
to look like a jet fighter for the roads. This extremely rare and elegant
vehicle rivals the price and performance of the 280 grand lamborghini diablo.
But at 380 grand it fell short by performance value. By the time of its
release in 1999 no one was thrilled due to the overcrowded and over priced
market. |

the States. In 1997 the need for a race worthy coupe called for the GTS.
Designed by legendary car maker Carol Shelby, the GTS delivers monster torque
from a V-10 Dodge truck engine. At 85 grand this car is a bargain compared
to the performance of its mega exotic rivals. |
