On June 24, 2000 after much encouragement from one of my friends I finally decided to take the plunge and jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Now I know why people jump out of perfectly good airplanes, it is loads of fun. I'd say it was the most fun you could have with your clothes on, but clothing is optional in this sport.
Naturally as soon as one person dared to try skydiving several more followed. Here are some more first time skydiving photos of my friends.

Here are a couple pictures of my first solo skydive. Things sure are allot different without that monkey on your back. He hasn't gone away, just been replaced by a monkey on your side.
On June 23rd (my 365th day as a skydiver) Gary convinced me to take him skydiving. It was a struggle for him to get me to skydive, but I will make sacrifices for my friends. Gary was dissappointed to find out that he was not the first Chinese man to skydive. I guess the odds of that were about 1:1,300,000,000. I would have to say that he showed the least fear of any of the others I've seen so far. Perhaps it was all the preperation he did beforehand? He spent over six months preparing his mind and body for skydiving. So yes, I was surprised when he asked if we could go.
