Announce:
The Visitation:
Mary visited and
helped
her cousin Elizabeth who conceived a son in her late years.
Meditate:
Such
a simple thing: two cousins visit! Both are
pregnant. Mary makes Elizabeth's unborn infant leap for joy.
Elizabeth speaks words of praise to the younger Mary. They exchange
blessings and are strengthened by God's grace.
Ask:
I
ask you, God, to help me make all my meetings with others into opportunities to greet
and praise one another. I ask you, God, to help me make the simple times
I share
with others, moments of joy, faith, love and blessings.
Heed Mary's
present-day message from Medjugorje:
"Dear
children, Today, on this great day which you have given to me, I desire to
bless all of you and to say: These days while I am with you are days of
grace. I desire to teach you and to
help
you on the path of
holiness. . . . If you pray, God will
help
you to discover the true
reason for my coming. . ."

Scripture Reading: Luke 1:
39-45:
During those days Mary set out and
traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where
she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her
womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a
loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and
blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment
the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb
leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken
to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."
"Dear Brothers &
Sisters,
Mary leaves her home to come to assist her cousin (the church on
this earth), to help her carry the burden and to prepare her.
Mary is always ready to leave even her holy place to assist her
kindred who are in difficulty. The church is exalted with her
visitation (as were Elizabeth and baby John), and utters words of
praise to the Holy Mother.
Perhaps Medjugorje's baby-in-the making is the fulfilment of Our
Lady's promise after the 10 secrets ( the suffering and labour
before a baby is born), will come to pass.
