| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Assess all applications for building permits. * Assess all applications for impact on the environment and make recommendations for mitigation of negative impacts. * Design and supervise all infra-structural projects * Liase with local, regional and international organizations in the implementation of protocols and treaties. * Enact enabling legislation for the protection and conservation of the unique environment of Nevis. * Training of staff. * Sensitization of the general public to environmental issues. |
| KEY RESULTS 2002 * Completion of RIMP I and II. * Implementation of school building under the Basic Education Project. * Completion and commissioning of the Newcastle Airport Terminal and ancilliary facilities. * Processing of building applications. * Enactment of at least 2 Ordinances in the Nevis Island Asssembly. * Publication of booklets/bruchures for the general public. |
