They named their band Teh Tarik
Crew because "teh tarik is one of Malaysia's favourite beverages" and they
didn't want to call themselves something too drastic. " Let people underestimate
our band because of the name. After they hear us play, they will know better,"
said acting band leader Taufique a.k.a FiQuetional.The band is a collaborative effort of five individuals (FiQuetional, Ahmad the Mild Mannered Emcee (Altimet), PingaLoca, Wisewards and Mizz Nina) from the Malaysian underground hip hop/rap scene and aims to raise music standards in their home country with an emphasis on having fresh lyrics and a good time during their live performances. Teh Tarik Crew created a buzz all around Malaysia after they appeared in Too Phat's Album "Plan B", 'Wanna Battle' include'n only Mizz Nina and 'It's On You' include'n only FiQuetional and Altimet.
