4 ELEMENTS OF THE HIP HOP CULTURE by cHAd EmcEe^dX and Mastermind
AN INTRO by cHAd EmcEe^dX
Okay, these are the ingredients of becoming a real Hip Hoper. For me it's done if you can Breakdance and Raps, because I can break into da beat and can write my own rhymes. For the DJ wannabes, you can only do it if you buy a 'Scratching Machine' (not the real name, real name is 'turntables') and for graffiti I'm not quiet sure.. I can put the tags on the walls but my tags are not as lawa as U.S's or in the Too Phat's vid; Jezzebelle and Anak Ayam. So watcha waitin' for? Mastermind will show you how the elements getting done!
4 ELEMENTS by Mastermind
1.bBoy, the initial for Break Boy, Bronx Boy and Boogie Boy are quiet popular nowadays. Even though its popular almost 20 years ago in the U.S, Too Phat bringing tha Hip Hop Culture into life again (in Malaysia and that's for the music industry) after almost 10 years its disappeared and the music arena was controlled by Pop, Rock and Alternative and its genres.
2. dJ, the initial for Disc Jockey. But not the dJ in the radio stations, they are different kinda dJs who plays discs in clubs and whatever you can call a groove palace where everybody get down to the beat. T-Bone was Too Phat's dJ in case I think he is in the Phat Family with Malique and JZow. Kool Herc is the pioneer of the dJ thing in Hip Hop and Grand Master Flash is the starter of the scratching technic.
3. mC, or Master of Ceremony or called better Emcee by cHAd dX is the one who raps. He rhymes over the beat that supplied by the dJ, and rapping is said to have its origins in Jamaican Dancehall Jams (that is reggae). That mean Shaggy and Bob Marley are rappers too! (sorta)
4.Graffiti, was started underground in subways in 1960s. This is the first step into Hip Hop Culture, graffiti was first done to subway trains by a writer who taged TAKI 183. Only in early 1970s when all trains are clean from graffiti, and this mean that tha Hip Hop Culture is gettin' stronger day by day (I think so la!)
AN OUTRO by cHAd EmcEe^dX
Lastly, not forgot; don't take this seriously in our lives. Take only the best one, respect our culture and DO the Hip Hop Culture and other SubCultures. That is no problem with us; all right. cHAd dX singnin' off!
THE END OF 4 ELEMENTS OF THE HIP HOP CULTURE
WHY? by @149st Illegal dX
Why SubCultures in Malaysia and all around tha globe keep fighting wit each other? In Malacca, Hip Hop and Underground can't live happily together, this is an advice from me. Ignore other SubCulture, don't gettin' jealous of each other. I heard almost every month Hip Hopers and tha Undergrounders battlin' (not breakdance battle) till I can't move around safely. I'm not an ORDINARY Hip Hoper, I'm only a solo Hip Hawk if you know Hip Hawk is pioneered by Lil' Hawk in early 1980s. Its a Hip Hop culture stream but it is stronger than inferior Hip Hopers, Hip Hawk is the combination of bBoy, mC and graffiti writer. But I think Too Phat is the greatest Hip Hawks since they can boogie down, sprays and raps in sync and lastly if the Too Phat (or anybody else) are reading this I wanna to ask them (or you), is Puff Daddy is the pioneer of Hip Hop culture? Me and my crews think that is not, because Puff Daddy are not too old. If he born before 1960s I could believe it but that is what inferior Hip Hoper talks about the starter of Hip Hop. Why? If you don't know who's the pioneer; why you make a rumors that PDD is the pioneer? Send me your comments and replies to [email protected]
