Shelagh McLeod Shelagh was born in Canada and in her teenage years she was diagnosed as having degenerative scoliosis (a hunchback condition) for which she had to undergo two gruelling operations to realign her spine. She spent five days in intensive care when her lung failed to reinflate. Shelagh once had a holiday job as an ancillary nurse in a hospital to help her through drama school. She is also interested in astronomy and Science-Fiction. She is married to her second husband, property developer Marek Pilkington Miksa, and they have one daughter named Katherine. They live together in Surrey. Her Birthday is on May 7th.

Dr Kate Preston Kate is married to Dr Will Preston and her maiden name is Webster. She has a son from a previous relationship called Charlie. Her and Will did have a daughter, Emily, who suffered from Cystic Fibrosis and later died when they took her to America for specialist treatment. Kate works for the PCT and not at the Beeches surgery with the other doctors. PHOTOS
