Margery Mason The character of Alice North has been Margery’s longest running role. She took to the stage in her mother’s company at 14, touring clubs in London’s East End, before moving into repertory theatre. Most years she swims 150 lengths (about 8 miles) in the BT swimathon. PHOTOS

Alice North Alice North is one of the longest running characters in Peak Practice and she befriends everybody. Over the years Alice has suffered from gall bladder problems, carbon monoxide poisoning, agoraphobia and she has had a hip operation. She lives with her chickens and in one episode of series 11, she contracted Salmonella from them.
