Clive Swift Clive was born in Liverpool and he gained experience in drama while studying at Cambridge University. He is divorced from novelist, Margaret Drabble and he has two sons and a daughter. He is the brother of ‘Drop The Dead Donkey’ star David Swift. Clive worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company during the 1960s. He is most famous for his role as Richard in ‘Keeping Up Appearances’. |
Norman Shorthose Norman Shorthose opened a chemist in Cardale which seriously affected the Beeches as they had to close their own dispensary. Norman was a hypochondriac and he had a crush on Laura Elliot, a nurse that worked at the Beeches. He also played a part in a prescription fraud with Dr Nick Goodson (a locum at the Beeches) in series six. |
