In Loving Memory

What do you do when your best friend dies
What do you do when she looks at you and cries
What do you do when you know she's in pain
What do you do when the cancer eats her brain

you don't stop caring, just because she's a cat
you don't stop hurting, a pet's more than just that
you don't stop loving, once she is no more
you don't stop the memories, of how it was before

remember the kitten, with the vacant blue eyes
remember the kitten, eyes the color of the sky
remember the kitten, who didn't know how to play
remember the kitten, who loved you in every way

remember the cat, who thought she was your child
remember the cat, who never acted wild
remember the cat, who had the instant purr
remember the cat, who was 90% furr

the love she gave can never be replaced
the love she showed... on her flat little face
the love she gave will always be with me
the love she showed was there for all to see

Pandora, my one braincell wonder, my perpetual blonde, my dream cat, my friend.  10 years wasn't long enough. Letting you go is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
