Who says you can't go home again?
By: Josh Peercy
Jason Lee Scott sat outside of his childhood home.
Jason hadn't lived there in 4 years. He hadn't visited since Christmas 2 years
ago. His life was pretty hectic. He was now living in Los Angeles, where he
owned a thriving Dojo. He was still single. Having never found the right girl.
Or at least the girl he found didn't return his feelings. Other than that his
life was good, but seeing his old home again made him miss the good old days.
The simple life. Or maybe not so simple when you consider he put his life on
the line daily as a Power Ranger. He wouldn't have traded it for anything
though.
Jason was back in town to help Tommy
and all the other Red Rangers in the battle to stop the Machine Empire from
rising again. They were successful. The world was safe for now. Being around
Tommy again had made him homesick. Jason knew that he was the only Ranger out
of the original 6 that hadn't either stayed in Angel Grove or moved back to
Angel Grove. Even Billy was back from Aquitar. Apparantely things didn't go
that well for him there.
Speaking of his friends they were
all, as far as Jason knew, living wonderful lives and happy. Once Billy returned
him and Trini had almost immediately started dating. Which didn't surprise
anyone since those two seemed a natural fit together. Billy was a Science
teacher at AGHS. Which Jason thought was below Billy. But Billy seemed to enjoy
it. Trini was a Kung-fu Instructor at the local Dojo. Jason smiled and thought
she must be a awesome teacher.
Then he thought of his best friend
Zack. Zack was doing great. He may be the happiest one of us all thought Jason.
But then he always was. Just living seemed to make Zack happy. And it was
contagious, whenever you got around him you couldn't help but to smile too.
Zack had gotten married to his childhood crush Angela. She had finally given in
to his charms and they were married 3 years ago. As a matter of fact they are
expecting their first child any day now.
Then there was Tommy, who he had
just spent the evening with talking and reminiscing. Tommy had quit racing. And
moved back to Angel Grove. He had applied for a teaching job at AGHS. Billy was
pulling some strings so he was confident he would get the job. Tommy had also
gotten engaged last year. To Katherine Hillard. Which kind of shocked Jason. He
always imagined Tommy would end up with Kimberly.
Kimberly Hart. Jason smiled at the
thought of her. Jason had kept in contact with her through emails and letters
since they were both captured by Divatox. The whole ordeal seemed to bring them
closer together. He knew nothing of her love life really. She was always vague
about that in her emails and letters. He didn't want to pry so he never really
asked about it too much. But he did know she had quit the Pan-globals and moved
back to Angel Grove a few years ago. He also knew that she had bought the Youth
Center as well. Jason figured she must have saved her money for awhile to be
able to afford it. He couldn't wait to see it or her again.
Jason sat there on his motorcycle
just staring at his old house. Memories were flooding through his head. His
parents had moved out a little over a year ago. They had moved to Seattle. His
Dad had gotten a job offer as a college football coach up there so he jumped at
the offer. The house had been bought by a new family. That thought had snapped
Jason back into reality. He thought if there is anybody home they have probably
called the cops on him by now. He had to look suspicious setting on his bike
staring at the house. He decided he better move along.
Driving around the familiar streets
of Angel Grove was a great feeling to Jason. He cruised awhile taking it all
in. He slowed down when he neared the Angel Grove park. He pulled his bike into
the park's parking area. He got off the bike and looked around at the park. It
hadn't changed a bit. At least from what he could see of it. He decided to take
a walk in the park to just enjoy the scenery and maybe reminisce some more.
Jason was walking toward the lake
when he heard a familiar voice call out his name. He turned to see Zack Taylor
standing there flashing his trademark grin. Time had treated him well. He still
looked 17 or 18. Zack closed the gap between the two and wrapped Jason in a
huge bearhug.
"
Hey man it is great to see you." said Zack.
Jason
replied," How have you been, How is Angela?"
"We
are both doing great." answered Zack.
"Hey
lets go sit by the lake and get caught up," said Jason.
"Sounds
like a plan," agreed Zack.
Jason then remembered Zack's very pregnant
wife. "But where is Angela shouldn't you be with her just in case?"
Asked Jason.
"No it is cool, she is spending the day
with her parents," replied Zack. "Besides I got this just in
case," Said Zack as he point to the side of his waste to his cell phone.
"Oh ok cool," said Jason.
The two best friends sat down by the
lake and talked for over a hour. Time seemed to fly by. Finally Zack shot up
and said, "Oh crap, it is time for me to pick up Angela from her parent's
house." Jason just chuckled at how frantic Zack seemed.
"Ok, man it was great talking to you
again," stated Jason. The two men headed for the parking area.
Jason asked, "Before you go Zack you
wouldn't happen to know where Kim is or what she is up to would you?"
Jason smiled at the thought of seeing her again. Zack noticed the big grin
forming on Jason's face.
"She is probably at the Juice Bar, she
spends most of her time there since she bought it," answered Zack.
Ok thanks Bro," said Jason.
Both men started to get on or in there
vehicles but just as Zack was about to close the door on his Black Cherokee he
hollered, "Go get em Tiger!" Jason just smiled, thinking why would he
think it was anything more than a friendly visit.
Jason pulled up outside the Youth
Center and once again he starting getting flooded with wonderful memories. He
walked up to the door and pulled it open. He walked through the doorway he must
have walked through 1,000 times in his life.
He stopped just inside the doorway and looked around. Kim hadn't changed
the place at all, to which Jason was glad. It was like old times. He saw some
guys sparring on the mat. One girl was using the gymnast equipment .And some
other kids were setting at the tables chatting away. He glanced up at the bar
and saw it was empty. He walked up and sat down. He turned facing away from the
bar to take it all in again. He couldn't help but to laugh a little thinking of
all the stuff they had done as kids in here. All the running out into the halls
when there communicators went off.
Jason
was brought out of his trance by a voice from the past.
"Jason?" the voice spoke.
He looked around to see a very refine looking
Bulk standing beside him at the bar. "It is you," remarked Bulk. Bulk
extended his hand for Jason to shake which sorta shocked him a bit. Jason reach
out to shake his hand but then out of nowhere Bulk pulled him up into a hug.
Now Jason was really shocked.
"Hey man is it good to see you,"
Said Bulk.
"It is good to see you too, Bulk"
replied Jason.
Bulk grinned, "Nobody calls me that
anymore."
"Oh really?" said Jason. He
couldn't imagine calling him anything else. Least of all his real name of
Farcus.
"Yeah but I don't mind, it is good to
hear it again," said Bulk. "So what brings you back into town?"
asked Bulk. Jason thought to himself, if you only knew.
"Uh, just wanted to see some friendly
faces," responded Jason. "Why are you at the Youth Center?"
asked Jason. "Still tormenting teens?"
Bulk replied," Nah, I gave that up years
ago, not that there wouldn't be some fresh meat in here." Bulk looked
around at all the teens.
"Yeah the place must be doing great
business, huh," remarked Jason.
"Yeah that is why I am here,"
replied Bulk. "I came here to help Kim move some stuff,"
"Move, is she going somewhere?"
asked Jason.
"No, nothing like that she has bought
some new gym equipment," said Bulk.
"Oh good the place needs some new
stuff" stated Jason.
The two were so busy talking they
didn't notice when somebody walked up behind the counter and folded her arms on
top of it. "Hey you," the person said in a soft voice. Jason spun
around and locked eyes with Kim Hart for the first time in 2 years.
Chapter 2
Jason felt a shiver go up his spine.
Something about the way Kim looked. She was still so beautiful. I mean she was
even more beautiful than he remembered. Jason always looked at her like his
little sister. But ever since they had gotten captured and went through the
whole ordeal with Divatox they had connected on a emotional level. And he knew
his feelings about her had changed but he decided not to say anything he didn't
want to complicate things. Kim had been watching Jason and Bulk talking for awhile.
She could only see the backs of the two men. She just had to see Jason's eyes
again. So she had interupted their conversation. When Jason had turned around
and Kim looked into his eyes she had also felt something. He was so gorgeous.
She too had felt her feelings change about him after the whole Divatox deal.
"Kim!" Jason exclaimed.
"It is great to see you!" Kim moved out from behind the bar to come
around and wrap Jason in a warm hug. Bulk took this as his cue to leave. He
quietly got up and excused himself. He went to the back to unload some more gym
equipment. Kim and Jason barely noticed still entangled in their hug. Finally
Kim let go and stepped back to look Jason up and down.
"Not bad," Kim remarked.
Jason replied with, "Not so bad
yourself." They both just stood there staring at one another for a brief
moment.
Then Jason broke the silence by saying,
"Looks like business is booming."
Kim
knocked out of her trance replied with, "Yeah, isn't it great!"
"I knew this place would be a good investment."
"I would think so too," agreed
Jason.
"So who have you talked to since you
have been back?" asked Kim.
"Well so far Tommy, Zack, and you saw me
talking to Bulk," answered Jason.
"So you want to get out of here and go
someplace quiet to talk?" asked Kim.
"Sure," was Jason's reply.
"Great, I will go tell Bulk to watch the
place for awhile," said Kim.
Jason watched Kim walk into the back
room of the Juice Bar. He couldn't get over how good she looked. " Oh
well, she's out of your league Scott," Jason said half to himself and half
out loud.
"Who is out of your league?" Jason
turned to see Kim standing there looking at him.
"Uh, nobody just thinking out
loud," Jason replied with a nervous grin on his face. Kim just smiled at
him.
"Don't worry Jase, I will get it out of
you sooner or later, you ready?" Kim remarked.
"Yeah, I am ready" Jason answered
smiling.
The two lifelong friends walked
outside into the parking lot. "So where do you want to go to talk?"
asked Jason.
"Somewhere I think we both need to
visit," was Kim's reply. "So what are you driving?" You still
got that red vette?" Kim asked.
"Yeah I still got it, but I am not
driving it," Jason replied.
"Oh, so what are you driving,"
asked Kim.
"I refer to it as riding," Jason
said as he walked up to the Harley Davidson setting in the parking lot.
"You have a motorcycle?" was Kim
stunned reply. She never pictured Jason on a motorcycle.
"Yeah I got her last year," Jason
said. Then he handed Kim a spare helmet. He put his on. She put hers on too
hoping it wouldn't mess her hair up too much. Jason got on the bike and patted
the spot behind him and said in his best cowboy voice, "Hop on,
Miss."
Kim just laughed and said," let's go
cowboy."
Jason pulled out of the driveway not
sure where they were headed. He honestly could care less, he was just loving
the fact that Kim was setting behind him with her arms around his waist. Soon
though after Kim started giving directions it started to become clear where
they were headed, some place Jason never thought he would see again. The two
pulled on to a side road leading off in to the desert. Jason stopped his bike
behind some overgrown bushes. He shut it off. "This is as far as she
goes," Jason said. Both of them hopped off.
"Yeah it is on foot from here,"
replied Kim. They took off up toward the mountains. Knowing within minutes they
would reach the one place they had both longed to see again. The Command
Center. Or at least what was left of it. The ruins in other words.
It wasn't a long walk but it was a
lot of uphill. At one point Kim almost slipped and fell and Jason had caught
her. "My Hero," Kim said sarcastically. Although in a lot of ways Kim
considered Jason her hero. Jason just smiled at the comment. Kim slipped her
hand in his. "Maybe I should just hold onto you from this point on,"
She said smiling.
"That works for me," Jason replied.
They took off up the hill hand in hand. Suddenly Jason stopped. "Do you
remember this place?" asked Jason. Kim looked around and remembered
instantly.
"Oh, Yeah" was her reply. "How
could I forget the site of our first putty attack?" She asked
rhetorically. Sure enough they were both standing in the same spot they were
when they were attacked by putties for the first time.
"Then the Command Center should be right
around these rocks," said Jason. They walked on up a little farther and
sure enough there was what was left of the command center. It was just mostly
rubble now. Kim and Jason both sighed. They had somehow hoped that they would
find the command center intact. They both knew they wouldn't. But it hadn't
stopped them from hoping.
Jason surveyed the scene. He was
suddenly overcame with grief when the realization that he would never see
Zordon again hit him. He looked at Kim who was getting teary eyed. He moved
over to where she stood. She was facing the exact same direction where Zordon
would have been. Although the view was wonderful, it was nothing compared to
seeing Zordon there. Jason put his arm around her. "I miss him too,
Kim," Jason said soothingly.
"I wish he didn't have to do it,"
Kim said.
"Me
too," Jason replied. Jason found some pieces of rock and sat down on them.
Kim followed him over and sat beside him. They sat there in silence for a
moment. Both remembering Zordon. Jason finally spoke up, "So Kim, how is
life treating you?" I mean the Youth Center is obviously doing well, but
how are you doing?"
Kim looked up at him and answered, "I am
doing ok." Although I still get a little lonely." She paused.
"Even with all the guys back here together, It just isn't the same,"
said Kim.
" Yeah I know what you mean, No powers,
no Zordon..."
Kim cut him off. " No you" she
said. Her voice almost breaking. Jason just sit there trying to think of how to
respond to that.
"Kim, I"..was all he could get out.
"I understand this might be a lot to
take Jase, but I really miss you, not just as a friend either," Kim said.
"I miss your smile, your voice, y...just you, I miss you."
Jason couldn't move. He felt like he
was being held down by the Megazord or something. He couldn't believe Kim was
saying these things. The things he thought daily. "Kim, I should tell you,
I feel the same way," he finally choked out. Kim looked at him lovingly.
"So what do we do now?" she asked.
"What about this?" Jason said as he
leaned in closer. Finally close enough to feel her breath on his lips. His
heart was about to beat out of his chest. Finally Kim took the initiative and
leaned up to meet his lips with hers. They kissed like two people that had
wanted to kiss for years but weren't able to. After a kiss long enough to make
them both gasp for air a little, they broke apart. Kim looked up at Jason with
her beautiful features glowing in the setting sunlight. Jason thought this is
what God meant for a woman to look like. Kim looked up at Jason and all could
she would think of was why they hadn't done that years ago. It was so right for
them to be there together.
After setting there just soaking in
the moment, just enjoying one anothers company. Jason finally stood up and took
Kim's hand. He pulled her up to him and held her close to him. "Kim, I
don't want to ever be apart from you again." Jason said.
Kim said, "you don't have to be Jason,
wherever you go is where I want to be."
There
was a brief pause where Jason stood there and just held Kim. Neither wanted to
move, or even breathe for fear they might wake up and have it all be dream.
Finally Jason broke the silence.
"Well we really ought to head back, not
to ruin the mood but it is getting dark and you probably got to close the Youth
center," Jason said hating to ruin the moment.
"Yeah I guess you are right, but I would
just like to stay here in your arms forever," Kim replied. Jason bent down
and placed a kiss on her forehead. He took her hand and they walked off down
the hill.
If either would have turned around they would
have seen a image of a being smiling at them from in the the ruins. "They
finally found one another, My brave warriors," spoke a voice from the
ruins.
Chapter 3.
The
walk back down the hill wasn't near as tough physically because it was mostly
downhill, but it had gotten dark, so it was good thing Jason and Kim knew the
place well. The two were silent for almost the whole time it took to get back
to the bike. They were both deep in thought thinking about what had just
transpired between the two and how it would change things. Finally they reached
Jason's bike. Jason stopped and turned to look at Kim. "We have a lot of
things to talk about and figure out, don't we?" he half asked, half
stated.
"Yeah we do but, this is not the
place," Kim replied. She was kind of uneasy about the surroundings. They
were in the middle of nowhere basically. The only thing comforting her was that
she was with Jason. She always felt safe around him.
The two hopped back on the
motorcycle and headed back into town. Angel Grove was a quiet town, not too
much traffic. So they reached the Youth Center in no time. Jason pulled the
bike up and parked it. They dismounted. Still not sure what to say to one
another. Jason was happy but he knew their relationship had really gotten
complicated. Kim felt similiar. As they entered the center Jason decided he
would kind of break the ice again. "So where do you live now?" he
asked.
"I live in my parent's house" She
replied.
"With them?" Jason asked.
"No they just moved out last month, got
them a new place just on the outskirts of town," Kim said.
"So you got that big place all to
yourself," Jason said.
"Well me and Buzz," Kim replied.
Jason felt his heart sink, who was Buzz? Surely Kim wasn't living with a guy
named Buzz. Kim noticed the grim look on Jason's face. "Buzz is my pet
bulldog," she stated with a grin on her face, knowing Jason was worried
she was living with somebody. Jason let out a sigh of relief. The two went and
sat at the bar.
All of the sudden Bulk came out of
the back room. "Hey, you two, I was beginning to worry," Bulk said.
"Sorry about being gone so long, thanks
Bulk you are the best," Kim spoke sweetly.
"No problem, I didn't have anything to
do this evening anyway," Bulk replied. "Well if you don't need me for
anything else I believe I will head home."
"No, you are free to go," Kim said
smiling.
"Hey Jason, it was really good to see
you again, hope to see you again," said Bulk.
"Yeah it was good to see you again to,
and I think you will see me again," Jason said as he smiled. Bulk returned
the smile and left.
"So here we are alone again," Kim
spoke up.
"Yeah alone again," Jason replied.
"So you want to.....Jason started to say before he was cut off by Kim
pulling him into a kiss. Kim finally took his hand and lead him back into the
back of the Youth Center. Kim had a office back there and a little couch. She
pulled Jason into the room and started kissing him again. Jason was
overwhelmed.
"Kim, I don't know, should we be doing
this?" Jason breathed out.
"Listen Jase, we can talk later, you
will probably be heading back to L.A. and I can't hold onto this feelings any
longer, and if we regret it later then we will just have to regret it,"
Kim answered. At that point Jason gave
in and the next thing he knew he was on the couch. He was thinking they may regret it later but right
now nothing was more natural.
A couple hours later Jason was lying
on the couch. He was laying there with Kim in his arms fast asleep. His mind
was racing. He couldn't believe what had happened. I mean sure he had thought
about is for a long time, but it was still almost surreal. Finally he snapped
out of trance when Kim started to move around. Kim woke up and looked over at
Jason, she smiled as she saw he was laying there looking deep in thought.
"Hey," she said.
"Hey," was his reply.
"What time is it" Kim asked.
"10:30," Jason answered.
"I really should head home," Kim
said. "I mean I don't want to leave Buzz alone too long, he is probably
hungry,"
"I am a little hungry myself,"
Jason said chuckling.
"Well then come back to my place and I
will take care of both of you," Kim said smiling.
Kim and Jason had left the Youth
Center and were heading for her house. She was driving her car, a black Grand
Prix. Jason was riding his bike. Her house was only about a 10 minute drive
from the Youth Center. Once they arrived at her house Kim pulled her car into
the garage. Jason followed into the garage on his bike. He parked it beside of
her car. Kim got out of her car and said, "Let's see what we can find you
to eat."
"Lead the way, beautiful," Jason
said. He almost immediately regretted it, recalling that Tommy use to call her
that. Kim never even flinched and Jason felt a sigh of relief. They entered the
house. Kim hadn't really redecorated it but there were some things she had
obviously changed. Like there were alot more pink items in the house that was
for sure.
"How do you like it?" Kim asked.
"It is nice," Jason answered. Then
he pulled Kim into another kiss. "I really do love you Kim, I mean
honestly, I want you to know that,"
Jason said in case she might have been having any regrets.
"I love you too Jason," Kim
replied.
After
meeting Buzz, Jason chuckled slightly, thinking about his worry that Buzz was
Kim's boyfriend. Kim had fed Buzz and he was now headed off to his
"room" in the house. Jason knew Kim loved dogs but this one was
living the high life with a room devoted just to it. Jason sat at the Kitchen
table and watched Kim scurry around the kitchen trying to find something for
them to snack on. He thought about how nice it felt to be in her presence. Then
he thought about what had happened earlier in the evening and blushed slightly.
It wasn't his first time but it was the first that had really meant something.
Kim walked over with some leftover Pizza she
had gotten out of the fridge. She noticed Jason was blushing slightly. She
smiled. He was probably recalling events that has happened earlier in the
evening she thought. The thought didn't make her blush but it did make her feel
tingly all over. It wasn't her first either but it was the best by far. It had
felt weird right after but that thought vanished as soon as she turned and saw
Jason. She wasn't the type to just sleep with anybody. But Jason wasn't just
anybody. She had always thought he was sexy, but they were such good friends
she had always pushed those thoughts aside. Now with him here though, she no
longer thought of him as just her best friend. He was much more now.
"Is
cold Pizza ok?" Kim asked.
"Sounds good," Jason replied.
"So I guess we should talk now
huh?" Kim said as she sat down and picked up a piece of Pizza.
"Yeah I guess we should," Jason
answered back as he was fixing to take a bite of pizza.
"So when are you suppose to go back to
L.A.?" Kim asked.
"Tomorrow evening," Jason answered.
"But, I have decided to move back here I am going to sell my Dojo, and
come back home."
"Are you sure that is what you
want?" Kim asked.
"I want to be with you, Kim," Jason
stated. "And you are here, besides I miss this place."
"I want to be with you too, Jason, I
think I always have." Kim said softly.
Jason
smiled. He was thinking the same way. The more he thought about it the more he
realized that he had always wanted to be with her.
"So it is settled then, tomorrow I will
head back to L.A. pack up some things and move back here," Jason said.
"I have had some offers on the Dojo the past couple of months, since it
has started thriving, so I should be able to find a buyer."
There was a brief pause and then Jason spoke
up again.
"I will have to look for a place to live
down here but it shouldn't be a problem."
Their was another pause and this time Kim
broke the silence.
"I want you to stay here with me,"
Kim said looking into his dark eyes. Jason returned her gaze. And it seemed as
if time had stopped. Like the world had been waiting for this moment to happen.
Chapter 4
Jason
just set there staring into her eyes. He could see she really meant what she
had said. He had been able to read into Kim's soul since Murianthias. Maybe
even before that. "Kim.. that is a big step to take," Jason said.
"I want to be with you Jason, I don't
want anything to come between us," Kim responded lovingly.
Jason reached across the table and took her
hand in his. "Then I am moving in," Jason stated smiling. Kim smiled,
she was lost in Jason's smile. It could melt her heart.
"But
what about your dojo are you sure you want to sell that?" Kim asked.
"You worked so hard for it."
"I
know, it was a decision I had pretty much decided a couple of months ago,"
Jason replied.
"Oh,
really," Kim said.
"Yeah
I have been homesick for awhile, and when Tommy called about the mission,"
Jason said, instantly looking at Kim to see her reaction to Tommy. Kim didn't
flinch this time either, it seemed she really was over him.
"And?"
Kim asked.
"And,
it started making me think, why not just move back?" Jason answered.
"Sure I worked hard for the dojo, but being in L.A. my heart wasn't in
it."
There
was a pause as Jason took a bite of his pizza.
"A
couple of months ago I got a very generous offer on the dojo, I almost accepted
it but I didn't," Jason continued. "But I think I will see if he is
still interested."
"So
this isn't as spur of the moment as it looks?" Kim asked.
"No,
not really, although I wasn't expecting all this that has happened between
us," Jason answered. "But I am glad it did, cause it is what I needed
to make me make up mind to move back"
Jason
smiled at Kim.
"What
are you going to do tonight?" Kim asked.
"I
thought I might sleep on your couch or something or go back to the hotel,"
Jason replied.
Kim
blushed slightly. "You could stay in the room with me," She stated.
Jason stared at her, he couldn't believe his
luck. She really seemed to love him. "I guess we could do that, I mean
after earlier we aren't exactly strangers to one another anyway, huh,"
Jason replied.
"No I don't guess we are," Kim said
smiling.
The two got ready for the night.
Jason had went to his hotel, gotten his one bag he had packed and checked out.
Now he was here in Kim's room getting ready to sleep with her. Literally not
figuratively. At least he didn't plan on doing that anyway. Kim had went into
the bathroom to get ready for bed. While she was in there Jason took that
opportunity to slip into his "sleeping clothes." Which consisted of a
red pair of shorts and a black tanktop. He was just sitting on the bed glancing
around the room, when Kim came out of the bathroom. She looked beautiful in her
pink, (what else?), nightgown. It was short just coming down to mid-thigh. And
very sexy or so Jason thought. Jason couldn't help but to stare. Kim moved
gracefully over to her side of the bed. She turned down the covers and climbed
in. "You coming?" she asked.
"Uh, yeah," was Jason's response.
Jason climbed into bed and sighed
contently. He looked over at Kim who was looking at him. He smiled contently.
"This is nice," Kim said.
"Yeah I could really get used to
it," Jason replied.
Jason closed his eyes. Kim smiled and looked
Jason over while he was laying there with his eyes closed. She thought of all
the times as a Ranger he had led the team to victory. Then she thought about
the wasted time she went out with Tommy when she could have been going out with
Jase. Not that she didn't enjoy being with Tommy. She did. But it was just a
teenage crush. Nothing more. Then she remembered when Tommy took over as leader
of the team from Jason. And Jason felt no resentment toward's Tommy for it.
Which was so admirable. Kim didn't
understand why Zordon decided to switch leadership anyway. As far as she was
concered. Jason was better than Tommy at about everything. And she always felt
better having Jason as the leader. Not that Tommy wasn't good as a leader but
if it ain't broken don't fix it she always thought. She always wondered if
Jason would have left if he had still been the leader.
Kim looked Jason over again. He
layed there with his hands behind his head his biceps flexed. She found him
incredibly sexy. Jason opened his eyes and saw Kim leaning over him. She was
looking him over. He put a hand on her cheek and started caressing her face. He
then pulled her into a kiss.
The next morning Kim woke up and
looked over and Jason wasn't laying next to her. She got up and slipped her
slippers on and headed down the hall. She looked into the kitchen and saw Jason
slaving away over the stove. He was cooking her breakfast. No guy had ever done
that for her. Jason was startled when he turned to find her there. "Oh
hey, you spoiled the surprise, I was going to bring you breakfast in bed,"
he said.
"Were have you been all my life?"
Kim asked.
"Right under your nose," Jason said
chuckling. Kim couldn't help but to laugh a little too. He was right.
"Well this is nice enough, just having
somebody cooking me breakfast for a change, in bed or not," Kim said.
"It is the least I could do for you, you
have made me happier than you will probably ever know Kim," Jason
responded. Kim walked over and give him a hug and kiss.
That day was an eventful one. After
breakfast Kim and Jason both headed to Los Angeles in Kim's car. Jason was
going to pack up his stuff from where he was living. Which was with his Uncle.
He had let him stay with him in his guest house. His uncle was a very rich man.
He told his Uncle about his situation with Kim. His Uncle wished him luck. He
packed up his clothes, Pictures, Trophies, video collection and stuff like
that. Kim had came along to help. She put some of the stuff in her car. And
Jason put the rest in his Corvette. His classic 69' Vette which he cherished. It didn't have a lot of
room for stuff but he packed it full. They headed back to Angel Grove.
They had arrived back at about two
in the evening and were unpacking Jason's things. Finally after they had gotten
everything unpacked, Jason sat down on the couch. "I am beat," Jason
said breathing heavily.
"Me too," Kim answered herself out
of breath a little.
"So do want to visit some of the old
gang?" Jason asked. "You know let them know about us, unless you are
ashamed of me?"
"Kim said, "Well now that you
mention it."
Jason just hung his head in mock sadness. Kim
reached over and kissed him softly on the lips.
"All better now?" she asked.
"Yeah much better," Jason answered.
Spending the day with Kim had been fun. She was so much fun to be around.
Always had been. He was still adjusting to the feelings they now shared for one
another. He knew it wouldn't take him long to get used to it though.
"Sure let's call everyone and see if
they want to meet this evening at the park for a evening picnic," Kim said.
"That would be great," Jason
replied.
Kim and Jason had called all their
friends and told them to meet them at the park for a picnic they were all too
happy to comply. They had just arrived at the park and where heading toward the
lake where they had decided to gather. When they got so close they saw their
friends all gathered together setting in the park laughing and talking. Billy
and Trini sat together on the ground holding hands. Zack was setting next to
them on a bench with Angela. Who looked like she was ready to pop. She has to
have that child anytime now they both thought. And Tommy and Kat were leaning
up against a tree with Kat leaning in front of Tommy, with Tommy's arms around
her waist. Kim and Jason looked at one another and smiled. Somehow knowing
their friends would be happy for them. They headed toward their friends and
heard Zack call out their names. And Jason could only think, Who says you can't
go home again?
