Rex Delaney has always carried his mother's name with the thought that her death was unneeded and that she should still be alive. With that, came the thought that the powers Trinity received really should be his. That he deserved them.
It all began when Aaliah found out that her second husband, Richard, had been cheating on her with none other than her own sister - not only that, but Ashanti carried a child - twins to be more exact. Aaliah felt betrayed and the stress and pressure was too much to handle. Little by little her mind started to shatter. She got back together with her first husband, Sebastian, and soon after Rex was born... but nothing was the same. In the end Aaliah couldn't handle it, but killed herself in front of her son. This left scars no one can heal - the kinds he rather not let be seen for like any dark witch, he can't stand the thought of showing his weaknesses.
Besides his little "thing" with Dina, Rex's life is pretty much going forward focusing on how to avenge his mother's death.
Rex, despite the angelic looks, has always been extremely cunning and mean. He didn't spend his childhood torturing little animals, but whenever he got the chance to make someone's life living hell, he gladly took it. Some things just don't change. Ever since his birth, the boy has lived under the roof of Sebastian's family mansion - he doesn't really love the fact it's Dylan giving the orders, but he doesn't bother to fight against it either. Although the two brothers (well, half-brothers) have always been pretty close and do care about each others, there's still a competition going on between them that neither one of them wants to admit. Dylan is sure Rex has his own agenda and well, who is to say he doesn't?
