Lori, as a child, was bright and optimistic girl who had more questions about life and universe than her parents had time to answer. It was ok though, for when there was no one to answer her questions, she spent her time reading and studying, wanting to find out all that there was to know about the world.
The girl's passion slowly faded away though, as both of her parents died in a car accident leaving a hole that no one could fill. The young girl was forced to grow up and take responsibility of her own actions, which was something she didn't want to do. She wanted to stay as a child forever.
Latoya, her older sister, became the legal guardian of her and her little sisters, which worried both Lori and Liam because of Latoya's drinking problems. They could do nothing but hope that things would turn out for the better and they promised they'd always stay together and take care of their family. That didn't happen...
A little after her parents' death, her boyfriend revealed his true form to the girl - he gave her a choice, telling her the truth. He had been sent to spy on their father few years back and he had decided that the best way to get close to the family was to be one of them. So, he had seduced the girl but only with the years going by, he had learnt to love her. He told her that her father had been a witch and that she too would have impressive powers some day. He also told that Lace already knew that truth but that her sister had not bothered to tell it to her and that angered Lori. Blinded by both anger and love towards the boy, Lori decided to go with Joshua and so she was bitten and turned.
She left her sisters never looking back and the only times she comes in contact with them, is when she decides to drop at Lace's and beat the living crap out of her. As a vampire, the once sweet and fragile girl is lustful and violent - her blood thrist is beyond unbelievable, and her need to kill matches with it perfectly.
