Jared, the head of the Resistance is a level witch with mysterious past. He was at 20 years old when first introduced in the story - he lives here and there and doesn't really like to talk about himself. Little is known of him and his real motives, really.
What is known is that Jared owns a family mansion in the 2nd Dimension where his little brother Jeremy lives, but Jared himself usually spends time in the witch castle rather than in the family mansion.
Jared grew up in the family mansion located in the 5th Dimension living with his father and little brother, Jeremy. Jared never knew what had happened to his birthmother. All he had been told was that she had abandoned her children and that she was a Watcher (which explains why Jared has the ability to heal) who had switched sides. That of course made her the enemy.
His father was a very good friend with Dylan's father Sebastian and their sons were considered as brothers. Although Jared always had a bunch of friends around him and everything was going great from his point of view, he felt like an outsider; like he didn't belong.
Everything changed when Jared met his mother at the age 12, Taylor who told him the truth. Both Jared and his brother had been born from hate - Eric had married the woman and forced himself on her. Yet she had never stopped loving her children, or her husband, and she invited Jared to live with her. Jared accepted the offer after hesitating at first, and even though you'd think Eric would've stopped him, he didn't. He let the boy go, hoping that Jared would eventually change his mind. He didn't. It was never discussed why Eric had chosen to lie to his children about their mother and it still bothers Jared.
The young man met his grandmother Gabi, the owner of the witch castle and soon after his mother died, he began to work for Gabi and help her fight the dark witches. He swore he'd find all the powerful witches left in the different dimensions. Yes, his goal remains the same to this day - bring them all together to battle side by side.
Have to be said that it was him who created the different units forming the Resistance and worked with others to build their 'military system' - so far it has worked almost perfectly.

Occupation: Level Witch/half-guard
Abilities: Able to shimmer between Dimensions, senses the portals around her, creates hallucinations and 'modifies' reality. Her powers are not based on her body strenght but the strenght of her mind. Can also heal.
