Ever since Dylan was born, he always knew he'd be the one to inherit his father's status - and if he wasn't, he'd make it his. This is probably based on the competition he always had going on with Jared Moreau, even though the young witch was always considered to be his 'brother' due the fact their fathers were close friends. It is often wondered why Dylan still hasn't killed the witch even though he's had a chance to do so many times, or why Jared has never done the same, but no one dares to ask it straight to his face. They accept the fact Dylan and Jared share a complicated history and a bond which cannot be broken even by all the evil between them. What caused this bond is unknown, though.
Dylan is a strong indvidual with only one visible weakness - Micah, the first soul inside him, who is doing all that it can to destroy his host's plans. Dylan received the soul by killing it's carrier without knowing the soul would then transfer into him. It would be ok, but in this case, the soul is good and the powers it has, it uses against his host rather than to help him. It is still madly in love with Kyra - the first soul inside Trinity.
Dylan has spent his whole life following his father's orders and even after Sebastian gave up on his status as the leader of the Blood Alliance, Dylan is still obligated to listen to his father's advice. They also share the same love and affection towards Dylan's half-sister Dina and they would both do anything to protect the beloved girl.
As a leader, Dylan is feared and respected, but with the soul causing troubles, the dark witches and demons under his control have started to question whether Dylan is the right choice for their leader. Can he deliver what he promised or is the soul too much for him to handle?
