MATRIX Explorer (R)(C) is a DBA/Developer/User power-tool that enables us to explore, manipulate, create, alter, manage and administer (DDL/DCL/DML) various RDBMS such as Oracle 9i/8i/8.x/7.x, Sybase ASE 12.x/11.x, SQL Server 2000/6.x, Informix 9.x, DB/2... database objects and data using native Sybase Database Interfaces supporting direct and concurrent connections to multiple databases. MATRIX makes use of System Tables/Views/Procedures (data-dictionary/repository). Using MATRIX, one can intuitively Backup, Restore..., create and alter Databases, Tables, Views, Indexes, Constraints, Triggers, Clusters, Sequences, Synonyms, Procedures, Functions, Packages, Types, Object Tables, Collection Types, Java Classes, Java Sources, Java Resources, Snapshots, Database Links, Tablespaces, Rollback Segments, Defaults, Rules... and manipulate data in a graphical and user-friendly interface implemented with TreeViews, ListViews, DataWindows, Drop-Down Toolbars, configurable Cool-Menus, OLE Automation, ActiveX Controls, Custom MDI, Dockable Windows (Workspace, Task-Manager, Code-Assistant, Output, Debug, Describe, Preview...), Session Manager, Job Manager, Explain Plan, Query-Builder, intelligent Code Editors (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, HTML, Java, Text), Pipeline (ETL - Import/Export of data from/to various/cross-database formats), Difference, Wizards, Flat UI, Resizeable Panels, Layouts, Preferences, Text/Audio/Video Help, Animations... MATRIX also offers a broad range of very high-quality and elegant reports on the database, database objects and data with exhaustive stastics and graphs that are not offered by other competing products. Currently working on offering a Debugger in the interface to debug backend stored-procedures and also Team-Coding/Version-Management features. The application is developed using the latest version of PowerBuilder and uses the PFC/OOP methodologies extensively and the powerful DataWindow component and comes in three different editions: o Enterprise (supports enterprise databases) o Read-Only (supports enterprise databases - Free) o Desktop (local and personal databases - Free) MATRIX is my own project I developed during my spare-time using licenced software.
