Petition Recipients President of the United States Senate Congress Board of Postal Governors Chair Person of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Author Project One Voice Current & Former Postal Workers Scope of Petition United States Signatures Private Not for Online Publish Delivery Date September 18, 2000 Washington DC Rally the rights of all men are threatened."--JFK November 1999 WE OPPOSE: Deliberate & malicious retaliation imposed by the US Postal Service to workers who seek their civil rights. It is a deliberate and vindictive effort to silence and force workers to condone violations. WE OPPOSE: Over-drenchment of federal protection to the US Postal Service that perpetuates mistreatment and abuse to its workers. WE OPPOSE: Federal embarrassment to the American ideals of justice and equality by the US Postal Service conducting itself as an "employer above the law" e.g. issuing an "EEO Sensitivity Training" class to a federal rapist supervisor versus severe retaliation to workers who oppose discrimination under EEOC. WE OPPOSE: Disparate treatment of workers who oppose discrimination receiving adverse actions while supervisor or manager responsible receives relocation, and/or promotion as a norm. WE OPPOSE: Non enforcement of US Postal Service Zero Tolerance Policy for Sex Harassment implemented for public relations purposes of simply stating "there is a policy in place." WE OPPOSE: Non enforcement of the Joint Statement of Violence and Behavior in the workplace dated February 14, 1992. WE OPPOSE: Non enforcement and total disregard for Equal Employment Oppportunity, Affirmative Action and Diversity Policy Statements. WE OPPOSE: Corruption within the US Postal Service EEO office aiding Agency abuse of power and perpetuating retaliation and discrimination; causing irreparable harm to the process of Equal Employment Oppportunity. WE OPPOSE: Sovereign Immunity for the US Postal Service which has led to its abuse of federal power. WE SEEK: A total independent, unbiased investigation of complaints of mistreatment by postal supervisors and management. We seek the passing of HR2385, a bill by Rep. James A. Traficant (OH) calling for independent study and investigation of management mistreatment to workers. WE SEEK: A nationwide audit, and investigation of the US Postal Service's Equal Employment Opportunity Offices. Last year they "erroneously" reported information from their databases where the numbers differed vastly. We believe this was a deliberate action to present to the General Accounting Office that the number of discrimination complaints from protected classes were at its lowest. WE SEEK: Removal of the Cloak of Sovereignty federal protection that has aided in the US Postal Service issuing "EEO Sensitity Training Classes" for federal supervisor rapists, instead of enforcing their Zero Tolerance Policies (sex harassment and violence). WE SEEK: Investigation, and correction of all that we oppose for the human rights, civil rights, labor rights of all American workers, and for the protection of the integrity of the Civil Rights Act. We insist on protection of the integrity of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and 1991, Title VII.
